Buying software and ebooks with Resell Rights means you have full control over the product, including the profits, without the hassle of creating it yourself.

The problem is EVERYONE is doing it. To really make the most of Resell Rights you have to use every `trick` in the book. Try these Top 10 Methods for starters!

Be Early

If you can promote quickly, as soon as a product is available, so much the better. This way the item is still `fresh` and in theory you’ll get more sales, since not many people are selling it. This `honeymoon period` doesn’t last long - so to make this work you must promote heavily, far and wide, and quickly.

Be Late!

Strange as it may seem you can also promote older products AFTER the `big rush`! When a new package with resell-rights is launched it goes through three distinct periods. First, as mentioned in step 1, the item is promoted by the early adopters. Then, everyone else catches on and it seems to be everywhere. Finally the product remains on websites but is not promoted heavily, a good time for you to press for the sales…

Repackage

This a very popular method to distribute resell-rights products. Bundle them together, perhaps create your own e-book or software to distribute them. This way you can promote the `new` product that no-one else is.

Be Exclusive

If you can get resell rights with some kind of limited or exclusive deal from the products creator this is almost as good as creating it yourself. The product retains it freshness that much longer and you’ll have almost no competition. Even if a product doesn’t come with Resell Rights you can always contact the author and make an offer. You’d be surprised how well this works.

Buy Cheap

The pile-it-high sell-it-cheap philosophy can be damaging to the Resell Rights market, but the bonus is you’ve bought the products so cheaply you’re almost guaranteed a profit. They won’t be large profits, but if you’re selling 100’s of different items it can add up. There are many sources of these products, including eBay - and the `price fixing` laws (if you interpret them this way) means the author may have trouble enforcing minimum-price policies.

Giveaway / Rebrand

Some products let you rebrand them, usually to make money on the `back end`. This way it doesn’t actually matter if you’re giving away the package or selling it ultra-cheaply, since the up-front profit isn’t your main goal. Some packages are truly viral and can spread amazingly quickly - carrying your links with them.

One-Time Offers

This is another method of profiting from the back-end. Directly after your customer has purchased or downloaded the main product, quickly offer another with the promise that the offer is only good if taken advantage of immediately. These one-time offers have a higher response rate than usual and if the deal is good enough you should expect solid sales. You often find extra bundles or discounts offered this way.

Upgrades

With an upgrade system you can giveaway cut-down or limited packages and software with a method of upgrading within the application itself. That way you can spread the free/limited software widely, hopefully having others give them away for you. Again, works with bundles - upgrade for extra software - or with time-limited trial software. It’s been a common method within the shareware industry for years.

JV

Since you effectively own the packages with Resell Rights you are free to make deals with other marketers. Usually, this involves a revenue-share of some kind, most commonly an Affiliate Program. That way they can market the product, and you both make a profit.

Build Your Own

Perhaps the ultimate way to "Win With Resale Rights" is to create your own product and grant these rights for it. That way you can embed back-end opportunities into the product and watch while others sell it. You can even grant limited-rights to select marketers for a premium, or sell the Resale Rights at more than the product price — effectively creating a upgrade path for the item.

“If you think you can do a thing, or if you think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.”

– Henry Ford

Affiliate Marketing

One of the simplest, most inexpensive ways to start your own business today is through Affiliate Marketing. There are some fundamental advantages affiliate marketing has over almost any other business. Advantages that have made this type of business very attractive to the relative newbie as well as the seasoned entrepreneur. Some of those advantages are:

No boss.

• You never have to see a customer. It can be all Web based if you so choose.

• There are no geographic limitations. You can reach customers globally.

Very low start up costs.

• You don’t have to rent office space.

• You don’t have to stock merchandise.

• Many merchants give you your own free website.

• You don’t have to accept credit cards. All of your website’s purchases are routed through your merchant’s account.

• Most merchants will offer free training and online support.

So, what is affiliate marketing anyway? Well, that’s the beauty of this business. As an affiliate, you simply send visitors to a merchant’s website that you represent. If they buy, or in some cases, just fill in a form, the merchant pays you a commission. There are literally hundreds of merchants online offering affiliate programs. Merchants such as BestBuy, Office Depot, eBay, Amazon.com, JCPenny, Macys, Circuit City, iTunes, Netflix, Sony, Toshiba and the list goes on, and on. These top-notch merchants will supply everything for you. Excellent products, ordering, payment processing and delivery.

There is also a very good level of security and growth in this business. According to the latest Internet Retailer survey,* most web retailers have already made a multi-year investment in affiliate marketing and count on a network of several thousand affiliates to drive visitor traffic. In another recent survey, more than 40% of the web retailers surveyed, stated that 42.1% of their total merchandise sales, come from the web, and that figure is expected to rise to 51.1% in the next five years.

You can sign up for free as an affiliate either at the retailer’s site or through an aggregator like Commission Junction or LinkShare.

But, understand this. Success is never accomplished with No Effort. If anyone tells you otherwise, grab your wallet and run! However, it can be achieved with minimal effort.

One of the things I always emphasize in any business endeavor is the importance of preparing yourself first, then, taking action. Success in business is achievable through preparation, action and persistence. By preparing yourself first for the business endeavor you are about to embark upon, you will already be steps ahead of your competition. Yes, there is plenty of competition in affiliate marketing. There will be competition in any business you become involved in. That, is a universal law.

The most important step to your business success is preparation. Believe it or not, 98% of startup online businesses fail because they won’t complete this one simple task, — prepare. Yes, it’s a given, that wrapping up the necessary preparation work before you begin “doing business” on the Net will delay your grand opening. But it’s important that you take the time to prepare yourself well now. Then there will be nothing to repair or repeat once you begin. “Do it right the first time.”

Benjamin Franklin once gave this valuable advice…

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”

The few hours or so that you spend in preparation, will determine exactly how big your success will be. At any given time you can find thousands of online resources, many of them free, to help you in your affiliate marketing preparation. Once you’ve prepared yourself, then, move forward and keep moving forward. It’s just a matter of applying what you know.

Let’s face it. It’s easy to lose interest in something when you’ve got nothing to lose. Affiliate programs are free to join — but this plus can also be a minus They appear much less like a real business, than say, opening a store in your local mall, where one makes the commitment of putting serious money on the line. The people who are most successful selling products or services take their affiliate businesses very seriously. They dedicate personal time and financial resources, in the same way they would for any other type of business.

Make some sort of monetary commitment to your affiliate business.

And last, but certainly not least, be persistent. Don’t give up. One sure way to fail in any business is to quit. “Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence, determination and hard work make the difference.” — President Calvin Coolidge

Successful people become successful by never giving up.

Until next time, I wish you much success.

The main purpose behind your ebusiness is making money and one of the best and easiest ways to get started making money online is by becoming an affiliate.

Affiliate programs are great for internet newcomers because there isn’t much of a learning curve and you don’t need to have your own support system built in to start earning. Someone else does the hard work of creating and delivering the product as well as offering support. All you have to do is offer the product to your site’s visitors. In fact, most good affiliate programs also offer you a wealth of sales material so you don’t even need to do much selling. Some affiliate programs also offer some valuable content for your site which is an extra bonus.

Your job as an affiliate is really to serve as a middle man bringing people and products together. If you have done a good job identifying your ebusiness niche and then providing good content in that subject area then naturally your visitors will be interested in products that you promote within that same niche.

Basically, affiliate marketing is STILL the simplest, fastest and least expensive way to start an online business. You don’t have to develop a product, stock inventory, deal with orders, shipping and/or customer complaints.

The best part of affiliate sales is that once you have the sales material set up on your web site or blog it can work for you 24/7, while you are asleep or on vacation! You don’t need to do anything except cash the check when it comes in the mail.

The challenging part of affiliate marketing is finding the right programs and products to join. Obviously you must shop around and always keep your eyes open for new opportunities but probably the easiest way is to join an affiliate directory, such as ClickBank, where you have access to thousands of affiliate programs.

Joining an affiliate program and promoting it is like having your own personal cash machine. Are you ready to plug it in?

Affiliate programs aren’t the only way to make easy money off your web site and/or blog. Another easy way to profit is through offering pay-per-click advertising on your site.

Every time a visitor clicks on an ad you earn money and sometimes those clicks are worth more than a dollar so you can see how your traffic can quickly turn a good profit for you.

All you need to do is plug in these profit machines and then wait for the earnings to roll in.

SUPPLEMENTAL INTERNET INCOME

Many publishers and webmasters undertake the process of picking and adding affiliate programs to add a few extra bucks to their bottom lines.

When you have managed to pick a winner, the selected affiliate program can develop enough additional income to make it worth while to continue to offer the program to your visitors.

Let’s face it. Not everyone who visits your website will be interested in your primary products or services. The truth is that you cannot be everything to everyone. So, it does make sense to offer some additional products or services on outbound links to other sites that offer affiliate’s an opportunity to earn a commission.

TIPS CONCERNING AFFILIATE PROGRAMS

* You should always choose an affiliate program based on how many levels they pay to affiliates. If the program only pays on what you sell, I suggest avoiding the program. The only time it would actually make sense to use a program that only pays on your own sales is when the program is offering hard goods that must be snail mailed to the buyer. If you are using the affiliate link in an article, the affiliate program you use should pay on at least two tiers. In this fashion, if you turn someone else onto a program, then you will be able to earn on sales they make as well. Who knows? The person who signs up on your recommendation may be able to sell thousands of ice cream cones to an eskimo.

* All outbound links on your website should contain the HREF property *target=_blank*. By setting the target to _blank, you are telling your visitor’s browser to open the link in a new browser window. This will force your visitor to make a concious decision to leave your site, by making them pro-actively close the window your website resides in.

* More so in an article than on a website, you should provide the link to your affiliate page through a Redirect link on your domain. From the webmaster’s perspective, this makes sense because you can track the traffic to your affiliate website by checking your traffic logs. From the article writer’s perspective, it is imperative since most publishers will trim off the affiliate id from your published URL. If you give the publisher a link from your own domain, then there is not an obvious affiliate id to remove from the link.

* You should observe the click-through ratio’s (CTR’s) on all of your affiliate links. Try to make a determination as to why a particular affiliate link does or does not generate good CTR’s. Perhaps it is the presentation of the link, or perhaps it is the offer that is being made. Make changes to try to improve on your results, and take action to remove the program if it does not generate good results.

* You should also observe the click-through-to-sales ratio’s also. At a certain point, you should make the decision that a certain affiliate program has failed at their end. If you are sending them lots of traffic, but you are not earning income from that traffic, then you should make the determination as to whether you want to create your own sales page for their product or give up on them altogether.

* You should always strongly consider using the affiliate programs that you promote. By using the programs, you can offer people an honest assessment of the programs that you are promoting. In many cases, the personal testimonial of a product or service will help sell that product or service.

* Don’t be afraid to write your own ad copy or develop your own display banners to promote the program. By developing custom promotional materials, you are able to distinguish yourself from the thousands of other affiliates promoting the same programs that you are promoting.

* Put a deadline on the profit expectations that you have from a single affiliate program. Let’s say for example you do as I do. I give programs six months from signup to produce results. If the results cannot be improved upon, I remove programs from my site. (I will be removing four programs from my site this week.)

* When you have found a winner, step up your promotional efforts on those programs. Don’t be afraid to tell people when you have found a winner. My winners are:

* Drop Shippers Directory - If you want to find hard goods to sell online or on Ebay, then you will want to explore DSD to find wholesale companies and drop-shippers who can supply you with those products.

* Quikonnex - Have you heard about the benefits of publishing an ezine via Dynamically Created RSS/XML Feeds? If not, then please take a few minutes to explore the promise of spam-free, accusation-free publishing with the Quikonnex Publishing System.

* As a final note, you should always try to select your affiliate programs based on offerings that your target visitors would actually be interested in. Although these visitors may not be interested in your offerings, there was something about your site that drew them to you, in the first place. So give them the chance to buy other products or services similar to your own.

At every point in the process, your goal should be to leverage the traffic you do have into money that you will have. It is far better to have two dollars on the hundred dollar purchase, than it is to have zero dollars on any purchase. If you are going to lose your traffic to others anyway, make the conscious decision now to turn some of that traffic back into dollars.

Once you have made the decision to become a poker affiliate for an online poker room, it is very important that you turn your attentions to internet marketing techniques. Marketing your poker affiliate business through the use of internet marketing tactics is one of the easiest ways to generate a massive income with poker affiliate programs.

Though many people may not view being an online poker affiliate as a real business, it is most definitely a viable way to create serious wealth. However, to earn any kind of serious money, you must take things seriously and apply a lot of hard work. Becoming a poker affiliate is not a way to get rich overnight and anyone who tells you otherwise is not being honest.

To become a successful poker affiliate, your main goal should be traffic generation. When creating the content on your website, be sure that you target the right keywords as this will help you bring in search engine visitors. If you fail to target the proper keyword phrases, people are going to have a very difficult time finding your website.

Also, a solid tracking software is an essential tool for any poker affiliate using internet marketing as a way of building their business. A professional stats program will help as it will tell you exactly where your traffic is coming from. Successful affiliate internet marketing is a much more difficult thing to do if you don’t have a way of tracking your results.

Another great way to promote online poker rooms as an affiliate is to publish a regular internet poker tips and strategy newsletter. Build a list of people who are interested in playing poker online and regularly email them with helpful advice, new bonus codes, and more. Using email can be an extremely powerful tool when you are promoting poker rooms and I strongly recommend that every online poker affiliate start using this to their advantage.

If you have ever made and designed your own software, you will have likely already learned the lessons in this article. The same lessons can be applied to the businesses of most Internet marketers.

The main lesson I learned was that it does not matter how good your software product is, the quality of the product does not ensure its financial success.

Microsoft of course is an exception for a number of reasons. First off, Microsoft has always sold their product first to the computer retailer. Secondly, they have built the legal war chest to force businesses to pay for their products. They also have the war chest available to promote their products with tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.

My business is not a Microsoft and yours may not be either. So, we do not have the lock on selling our products as a necessity to the middle man, and we do not have the same kind of budget that Microsoft possesses. Even still, we should never ever give up on our hopes and dreams of success.

    NEVER GIVE UP HOPE!

I am able to share this message with you from a position of experience.

See, I am a programmer of moderate knowledge. I have undertaken software projects on several levels while searching for that infamous pot-of-gold.

In the early, early days, I wrote three separate software packages for direct resale to the public. The first and second time, I supposed that it just was not the right package to get the attention of the public.

The third time out, I approached the project with the shareware attitude. I sold one copy of the package.

The fourth time out, I gave the software for free, but supported by ad revenue. Selling advertising on an unknown name is tougher than giving away the software. I gave away several hundred copies of the package, but did not sell a single ad lot, so I ended up serving my ads alone.

The fifth time around, I finally got a grip on the challenge. I had developed software for my own use, and thought others might like the package. I was right.

    THE HARD, NAKED TRUTH

I could have offered the package for resale, but it was software that could only be used by a very tight niche market. There were only about 500 people who I suspected might be interested in the product as a stand-alone application.

If I sold the package for $100, I might could have made $50,000 on the product alone, but that is optimistic. At $100, I am willing to venture that my takers would have been fewer than 50 strong. So now, my gross earnings on the product may have been $5000.

Realistically, I would reach my largest market base at about $20 per user. If I could have turned that $20 on the 500 users, then my earnings would have been a maximum of $10,000 earned on the product. Granted, that is not too shabby, but it is far from exceptional. It is definately not on the scale of Microsoft.

    THINKING OUTSIDE OF THE BOX

I finally realized that if I were to offer my software as a service, then I could resell the service to the same people over and again. By offering the product as a service, I could then insure that I would have a continuous source of income to spur the upgrades that are discovered to be needed down the road.

Over the last three years, I have tweaked and prodded the software to offer more and more value to the service and to increase the ability of my clients to get real value from my product/service.

My service is designed to help writers of free-reprint articles to get their articles delivered to ever-expanding groups of publishers who are looking for great content to reprint.

Since January of 2002, I have managed to triple the number of publishers and webmasters I am able to reach with my client’s content. Along the way, I have been able to improve my program to add even more added-value services to my basic package. I could realistically increase the cost of my service by five times, and my clients would still be getting their money’s worth from my service. And yet, more added value services are right around the corner.

THE SOFTWARE OF MY FUTURE LABORS

I have finally learned the lesson of how to sell my software online. With my future software products, some will be offered as a free service so that I can get the additional exposure, and others will be offered as pay services.

I have earned more money for my service than I had ever hoped to earn as a software product. And the money is continuous which gives me the opportunity to receive additional benefits to my pocket book when I decide to upgrade the software.

My latest individual software package has been put up on my site as a free service so that I may receive the additional exposure.

If you are a webmaster and you are using content written by others to spice up your site’s value in the search engines and in the minds of your visitors, then this new software will be of good value to you.

In order to meet the terms of reprint stated by the writer of the content you are using, you must hyperlink all URL’s in the article copy. Doing this hyperlinking by hand is a real painful experience, especially if you are using lots and lots of content written by others. By using my newest, most nifty little tool, all you have to do is to put the text copy of the article into the form and click "convert," and the software will hyperlink all URL’s in the copy that you are working to prepare for quick and easy placement into your site.

This software is called the "TPW Text-to-Hyperlink Conversion Tool" and it can be found at: http://thephantomwriters.com/link-builder.pl

    AN ADDED VALUE

Even though this software is mostly used by the webmasters who take my client’s content for reprint on their websites, from my site’s article archives, this software is actually an added value to my paying client’s as well.

By targeting the software to those who will use my client’s content for reprint, my client’s are assured that there is no reason why the webmasters would not be able to hyperlink every article that is used from my website. My client’s benefit from this tool because their terms of reprint are honored much more frequently than ever before.

    IN CONCLUSION

By targeting my software to both sides of the equation, my user base and my client base, I am offering added value services to both groups and providing my potential clients more reason to buy my services.

Perhaps as you look down the road with what you are going to be doing with your website, you will find more ways to extract more income from your own website.

An online poker affiliate marketing program is a very effective business model and marketing technique where a poker room pays affiliates a commission for referring poker players to their website. The affiliate simply signs up for the affiliate program and then receives a unique affiliate marketing ID that they can use to market the site. Most poker room affiliate programs provide banner ads, content, bonus codes, and other types of promotional material that their affiliates can use when marketing the poker room. Banner ads and text links can be branded with the poker affiliates unique ID and all traffic originating from that link is tracked. When a visitor clicks an affililiate link, is redirected to the poker room, and creates an account, the poker affiliate is given credit for that player. By having an affiliate program, online poker rooms don’t have to pay for costly advertising and only end up paying out when a new player signs up.

Poker affiliate programs have become an excellent, cost efficient way for online poker rooms to advertise and build up a base of active players. An affiliate agreement is made between a marketer and the poker room and permission is given to the affiliate to market the particular poker site. Affiliates have a great opportunity to then introduce the poker room to their sphere of influence and earn handsome commissions for doing so.

Not all internet poker affiliate programs are created equal however. It is important that an affiliate researches a poker room before deciding to promote it. Things that should be considered are commission payout percentages, reliability of commission payout, how long the poker room has been online, size of player base, etc.

If becoming your own boss and taking control of your financial future is something that appeals to you, I would strongly recommend that you do some more research on becoming a poker affiliate. Becoming a successful marketer of online poker affiliate programs is an opportunity that not only provides unlimited upside, but one that requires little if any monetary risk on the part of the affiliate.

If you’re ready to draw the line, and start earning real money as an affiliate marketer, then you can’t afford not to have a "whatever-it-takes" mentality. Study the following, then take action. Your success is in your hands!

    1. Don’t let the merchant steal your customer for life! If you really want to quit your day job, then you need your own opt-in list. You’ll be able to promote to this list week in and week out, for years on end.

You can get a free autoresponder account at SendFree, GetResponse, or through a number of other autoresponder providers online. How many people have you sent to your affiliate links by now? Imagine how many opt-in subscribers you’ll have if 20% of these people join your list in the future!

Additionally, think about creating an autoresponder series with a minimum of ten installments. The more, the better. These installments could be part of a marketing e-course that neatly ties in several high-paying affiliate programs. Think outside of the box!

    2. Diversify your efforts; don’t rely solely on affiliate marketing. Consider selling quality resale rights products and promoting your affiliate links on the order thank you page once your customer has made a purchase.

Create free reports that pre-sell the products you intend to earn commission from. Make these products irresistable by making them "feel the hurt" of what it will be like if they don’t take action and buy.

    3. Be creative - brand yourself and separate yourself from the crowd. Stone Evans calls himself "The Home Biz Guy". Make a name for yourself by building relationships with your opt-in subscribers, and by making a concerted effort to help them succeed.

Also, give visitors to your website or blog plenty of quality content that keeps them coming back for more. The more you give, the more you’ll receive in return. Give your visitors and subscribers something that no one else can, or will.

    4. Create an empire by doing something no one has ever done before. The greatest successes are often the greatest innovators. How can you offer something of value in a way that sets you apart from everyone else in the world of affiliate marketing? Study the "experts", and then blow right by them.

Just like in the sports world, you’ll rarely get far by "playing not to lose". Play to win, and stake a claim to runaway success as a top affiliate marketer!

In the last few years, webmasters have discovered that affiliate marketing can be an extremely lucrative way to earn additional revenues from their sites. Now, a purely informational website that doesn’t sell anything can generate massive revenues by adding recommendations to products and services via online affiliate programs.

Signing up for affiliate marketing programs can be a very effective way of paying for webhosting fees and bandwidth, domain names, and the time it takes to keep an informational site updated.

So what exactly is an affiliate marketing program? Affiliate programs are nothing more than partnerships with various business online. Partnering up with these businesses gives you the ability to offer additional resources to your visitors and is a valuable way to attract and retain your visitors because you are adding additional value.

Online affiliate programs have a track record of being very successful. They have been responsible for creating massive wealth over the last few years and have really become a popular addition to the webmaster community.

Joining an affiliate program requires you to apply and you can usually gain approval immediately. Many affiliate programs provide you with a host of banners and other tools that you can use to market their products and services and each tool is linked to your unique affiliate ID to ensure that you get credit for the sale.

If you’re interested in becoming an affiliate marketer, there are many different programs and products that you can promote. From online poker rooms to diapers and everything in between, there is an opportunity for all. To get started, I would recommend that you check out Commission Junction, one of the leading affiliate marketing networks and one that will give you access to thousands and thousands of different products and services that you can begin to earn money from immediately.

If you’ve been involved with affiliate marketing for any length of time, then you’re probably aware of the fact that affiliate marketing "gurus" have access to knowledge that you don’t, and that bridging this "information gap" is the key to earning a solid income online. Here are four ways top marketers are getting rich through affiliate marketing.

    1. By marketing to affiliate marketers. This one becomes painfully obvious when you think about all of the infoproducts dedicated to helping affiliate marketers earn more money online.

As long as these infoproducts actually serve to help their readers, they can be a highly effective tool in assisting affiliate marketers in increasing their profits.

Unfortunately, the Internet is littered with scores of ebooks filled with worthless, rehashed information. But if you’ve had some success with affiliate marketing, why not but together your own infoproduct that helps others to experience the same success?

Or, you could put together a 10-page ebook that presells a product and earns you affiliate commission. And, if you like, allow your readers to give it away and watch as your commissions skyrocket!

    2. By capturing e-mail addresses rather than sending prospects straight to a merchant site, and following up with them through long autoresponder series, as well as free giveaways that pre-sell their own products or the products of a third-party merchant.

By operating in this manner, these savvy marketers are creating actual "residual" income. A list of just 10,000 people can result in passive income of thousands of dollars a month. The good news is, that it isn’t that difficult to build a list of this size, or that expensive either.

    3. By brokering joint venture deals with other list owners. If you can leverage someone else’s mailing list for an instant surge of profits, you stand to be highly profitable.

If you already have your own list, why not send out a mailing inquiring about brokering joint venture deals with your subscribers? Take the path of least resistance and use the power of network to your advantage.

    4. By embedding affiliate links in free special reports and information products they are selling. If you give me general details on how I can solve a pressing problem, and then tell me that product A, B, or C is the "ultimate solution" to solving that problem, your odds of selling me that product increase dramatically.

So use your free and for-sale items to boost your affiliate commissions, while exploring new ways to achieve greater returns on your efforts.
