In affiliate marketing, the affiliates are looking into ways in which their chosen products can be promoted more effectively. One creative and effective way is the use of e-zine advertising. To use this tool for promotion, the affiliate must first know what e-zine advertising is all about.

An e-zine is a newsletter sent to subscribers. It is a coined term for magazine which is published in the Internet. The core subject or theme of the newsletters can be anything. And when a newsletter has been around long enough within cyberspace, the number of subscribers of the newsletter will reach a point that it represents a considerable percentage of the global market.

And when the number of subscribers is large enough, the publisher of the e-zine will be selling space in it to online businessmen and to affiliates. Such is the beginning of the publisher’s e-zine advertising. To acquire the maximum benefits of e-zine advertising, here are some tips that an affiliate may keep in mind.

·Some e-zines are simply paragraphs sent in an email, while other e-zines provide links to other websites. The affiliate should choose e-zines that have these external links. If the affiliate has signed-up with a pay-per-click program, he can arrange the link to be directed to the merchant’s website. Otherwise, the link could lead to the affiliate’s website. What is important is that the e-zine should encourage its recipients or subscribers to have a more active role.

·One type of e-zine ad is similar to a banner ad while the other type is called a solo ad. The former is cheaper while the latter is more expensive. But the solo ads take the complete attention of the reader, while the banner-like ads will be competing with other banner ads. The affiliate must look hard into his budget and decide which type of e-zine ad will work best for his affiliate marketing business.

·The placement of the e-zine ad is important. The top sponsor ads are better than ads placed in the middle of the newsletter article. An ad placed right in the middle will most likely be skipped by the reader. While the ad placed at the top will surely be read first. The top ads are, of course, more expensive than the middle ads. But what good will a middle ad do when it cannot even get one visitor? Next to top ads, the bottom ads are effective. When the article of the newsletter is engaging, the reader will reach the end and find the bottom ad. Since the recipient is through reading, he is more inclined to click on the link of the bottom ad.

·A targeted niche is better than a generalized approach. To have an e-zine ad that targets a specific audience, the affiliate must find out from the newsletter’s publisher the topics of the next issues. Once the next issue is known, for example “vintage cars”, the affiliate can choose among his products which is most related to the issue, for example, “car parts”. An e-zine ad about another topic, such as “computer software” will be ignored by the reader.

By using the above e-zine advertising tips, the affiliate can avoid spending for advertisements that are ineffective. And he can focus on ads that will easily translate to sales.

There are several ways in which many an affiliate business opportunity program has transformed lives across the World Wide Web.

For instance the popular Adsense affiliate business opportunity program has caused many online entrepreneurs to transform their business models. It made it possible for many sites to be able to rake in significant profits by just providing quality content and without having to sell anything off their sites.

Secondly, the are so many good affiliate business opportunity programs on the net these days that virtually any blog dealing with any possible subject or topic you can imagine under the sun is easily able to identify an appropriate affiliate program that will appeal to its’ visitors and clientele.

The result is that we now have an increasing number of super successful online businesses and individuals who are making a substantial sum every month from their affiliate business opportunity programs without having to sell their own products or services. We have people comfortably drawing checks of over $100,000 every month from just one single affiliate business opportunity program.

What many online entrepreneurs do not seem to grasp is the fact that the most important thing is not necessarily the affiliate business opportunity program but the traffic which an affiliate site or blog is able to attract. Traffic volumes impact very directly on the performance of any affiliate business opportunity program.

So much so that the real secret of success is that one just needs to be an expert at high traffic generation techniques and the entire World Wide Web and its’ un-measurable riches will be at their feet.

In other words what one needs to spend most of their time figuring out is how to generate an increasing amount of traffic, especially through one way links and keyword phrases, both of which are capable of pulling in massive traffic directly and from search engines.

For one type of product, there are literally hundreds (or even thousands) of affiliates that are actively promoting it. Affiliate marketing, after all, is a competitive business. But the result of having too many affiliates can present a challenging problem to each affiliate. One problematic result is that one customer may have already heard of the product being promoted by one affiliate. And this customer may have already encountered the promotional material for the product.

With so many affiliates offering the same product, how can one affiliate stand out from the rest so that the customer will choose him and not the other affiliates? What makes one affiliate different and better from the other affiliates? This is the present challenge of many affiliates, especially the new ones.

One creative solution suggested by many affiliate marketing experts is the use of extra specials. An extra special is something valuable that is given to a customer if this customer purchases the product from the merchant through the affiliate’s website. The affiliate must also mention that such extra special cannot be obtained from other websites. This will warn the visitor that if he purchases the product from another link, he will not have that extra special. And if that extra special is also needed by visitor, he will most likely stay in the affiliate’s website and discontinue his browsing.

Now that the affiliate has decided to provide the extra special, the next question in mind is what extra special will be attractive to the customer. The answer to this will depend on the type of customer that happens to purchase the product. And the type of product will give a big clue on the personality of the customers.

For example, if the affiliate’s website is all about rock climbing and other extreme sports, offering information about how tattoos are placed will not appeal to the majority of rock climbers, even when some of them may be wearing tattoos already.

On the other hand, if the affiliate will be offering information on various rock climbing places found in the country, the rock climber will definitely be interested and he may have no doubts at all in clicking that link that will take him to the merchant’s website.

Other extra specials can be a free email or phone consultation, an e-book, or links and ads in the newsletter. What the affiliate had to remember is that the extra special should be relevant to the main product being sold.

Just how does somebody find the best affiliate program that is most likely to earn them that big check? The truth of the matter is that not every affiliate program will earn you a six figure monthly income. There are those that are more likely to work for you.

Affiliate Best Program for a Big Pay Day Must Deal With A Product That Has A High Growing Demand It helps a great deal if your best affiliate program deals with a product or service that not only has a high demand out there in the market, but one whose demand is on an upward swing. This will tend to make things much easier for you and it ends up being a lot easier to achieve those super sales that result in an equally super monthly check.

Your affiliate best program Is The One You’ve Found A Good Selling System For But even more important for your affiliate best program is finding a good selling system to exploit. A system is an effective laid down procedure for doing things that has already been tried, tested and fine tuned by experience selling what ever it is that is being sold. It is the reason why certain affiliate programs I have joined virtually sell themselves.

It has been reported that in the year 2005, $1 billion dollars were earned by google adsense publishers worldwide. Daily, we are accosted by stories of top earners who extol their feelings of happiness of being identified with this excellent program, that gives new value to advertising and promotional efforts. There are hundreds, possibly thousands of adsense publishers who are actively creating pure content websites to display those tiny google ads and getting a portion of the revenue when someone clicks on the ads in search of information or in search of purchasing the product.

I often read email offers from the adsense gurus’. There are many who offer to provide research reports on the best high paying keywords so that you can build effective web sites to draw ads that pay the most when clicked. Others, encourage you to submit your optimised site to hundreds of search engines to get backlinks, others applaud the power of press releases to reap hundreds of backlinks when the press release is picked up by online editors. Some who see virtue in black hat SEO ( search engine optimisation ) offer powerful scripts that cloak pages. There are many too who offer you the instant use of the latest Blog and Ping softwares to attract the search engine spiders to come and index your page. Not to forget the many gurus’ who are offerring the latest state of the art softwares to auto-generate hundreds of pages within minutes, to create massive sites of search engine results based pages as directories and indexes.

But in all these, there are very important things the gurus invariable fail to highlight, and which can dash all the aspirations of the budding adsense publisher to tiny pieces.

Firstly, you can make the best pure content website, but if it does not attract targeted traffic, you will not be earning any money from the effort.

Secondly, you can have huge web sites of keywords that are meant to be high paying, but in reality when you get clicks, you find you might be getting just a few cents worth of clicks.

Thirdly, indexed pages come and go. What is indexed today may be gone tomorrow as the search engines update their listings.

Fourthly, even if you had followed the advice of many-a-guru to have unique content and unique customized templates for your website, there is no guarantee of earning higher adsense income or any income at all, especially if the sites do not gather traffic.

Fifthly, do not be attracted to buy those ready-made low cost websites that you can upload and attract traffic, especially where there is never a limit to the number of similar sites being sold. There will be a huge duplicity of web site content for these sites which are sold a dozen a penny ( you can buy 150 sites for only $15 - from one email flyer I received through my email box recently).

If you are a newbie to google adsense publishing, learn the tricks and skills from a mentor. This will accelerate your learning and help you avoid the pitfalls of trying to look for easy money. In the end, the Google Adsense is a great program and working close to the terms of service by Google Adsense and providing solid relevant content and having a reliable steady traffic flow to the sites will help bring you a consistent income as an adsense publisher.

Chances are that you are reading this article like you’ve read hundreds of other similar ones, in a desperate search for the ideal affiliate make money online program for you.

The good news is that if you read this article carefully, your search has come to an end.

There are probably hundreds of affiliate online programs out there that will make you serious money but that is not what you should be looking for at this point. Following that approach which every other unsuccessful and desperate would-be affiliate is following is akin to putting the carrot before the horse. In other words the carrot is behind the animal instead of right in front of it. That doesn’t make any sense, does it?

What you must do is get the donkey first and then set up a cart behind it for it to drag along with it. Then you decide where you want the donkey to take the load that you intend to carry in the cart. You then get seated comfortably on the cart. Finally you put the nice juicy carrot right in front of the donkey and use it to direct the animal exactly where you want it to take you.

But we’re not talking about donkeys and carrots here, so let me put it in affiliate-make-money-online-program language.

1) Get a topic/subject that you know and understand very well.

2) Get the best keyword phrases you can use and use one of them for the title of your blog where you’ll write lots of useful content (using the rest of the keywords) about this subject that you know very well.

3) Create nice juicy content that will create junkies out of as many of your visitors as possible.

4) Apply to join the Adsense Affiliate program that will earn you money every time somebody clicks on the Adsense ads posted at your blog. Post the code if you are already a member of the Adsense affiliate program.

5) Create an email newsletter or course to trap as many email addresses as possible belonging to the junkies you’re creating at your blog.

6) Find a two tier or three tier affiliate program that is as relevant as possible to the junkies you’re creating at your blog and then join it and paste all the affiliate links in prominent places on your blog.

7) Join a couple of other affiliate programs to maximize on revenue from the traffic you’re generating.

This question could be extended by "and internet marketers in general". The answer to that question was widely believed to be "Yes".

The Misconception
People tend to think of an Affiliate as a tech savvy geek that spends day and night to find ways to promote a big merchant and make big bucks via the commission earned for the sales made by the referred customers; a person that is very protective about everything he does, that generates at least a few sales or leads. You probably also thought of the people that run the Affiliate Program for a Merchant, who are called Affiliate Managers or short AM’s, are snobby suits that try to use the legions of their affiliates to generate easy money for their employers.Socializing would almost be unthinkable if this is true. Who is going to socialize with his maid? Right?

This picture of affiliates and their counterpart on the merchant side seems to be a misconception that might be true only in some rare cases.

It did not took very long after affiliate programs became more and more popular that Affiliate Forums emerged, especially when Amazon.com launched their Affiliate Program (Amazon called it Associate Program) in 1996 which allowed instant signup and approval for anybody and his uncle in combination with the growing trend of creating personal home pages on free hosters like Geo Cities.

Early Communities, Forums
Forums like the AssociatePrograms.com Forum , RevBoard, ABestWeb, Affiliate Boards and Affiliate Marketing Forum at WebProWorld were frequented by affiliates using nick names or just the first name to exchange general information about programs, commissions and that sort of things.

Posting of Affiliate Site URL’s was a "don’t do it" rule although most forums did not specifically prohibited the posting of links, if related to the discussed topic. Some had the rule not to post somebody else’s Affiliate URL. The fear for copy cats and the potential loss of hard earned commissions was wide spread and sometimes also well founded. Anything that was giving hints to the identity of the affiliate and it’s website was avoided by most members in the public forum areas.

That affiliates are social could already be seen in the "off topic" or "midnight chat" sections of the Affiliate Marketing Forums, if such a category was available. Towards the end of last year sites started to emerge that supported and even encouraged social mingling between affiliates and also affiliate managers and networks.

The New Trend, Social Netwoks
At the end of December 2005 launched the social site ReturnOnAffiliate.com (short RoA). RoA is a social community site following the trend of general social sites like MySpace.com, but was created solely for People in the Affiliate Marketing Industry. If it would be correct, that the people in that industry, especially the affiliates, are not social, sites like RoA would vanish quickly because of lack of users to support it.

This is not the case, quite the opposite. RoA grew it’s member base within 3 month to over 2,000. Of course is a lot of the communication related to internet marketing, but the communication goes far beyond that.Personal Information and thoughts are shared in public message boards, special interest groups, blogs and mail. Every member has also his own blog, message board, book mark collection and can create freely new groups for others to join. Members that disguise their origin and blog their personal pages are the exception.

Another example for an Affiliate Marketing Community site is the Affiliate Summit 2006 East Social Network created for the attendees of the Affiliate Summit Conference which will be held in Florida on July 9-11 later this year.

Fazit
I am convinced, that this trend will continue in the years to come and have a major impact on the affiliate marketing industry. Connecting through social networks allows marketers to get to know each other much better and help with the creation of new professional and personal relationships.

Problems between merchants and affiliates will probably solved much quicker and easier without escalating as much as they used to in the past, because instead of Affiliate xxx having a problem with yyy, John has a problem with the Merchant Jane is working for.

If you ask yourself the question, who would you rather do business with, the one you don’t know or the one you can associate a face with and know personally through interactions on community sites? If the business reasons are not overwhelmingly leaning towards one of them, I would go with the one I know personally. Business is much easier and enjoyable if you do it with a "him" or "her" and not an "it". See you soon at an Internet Marketing Community Site.

There’s no business like show business, was a popular slogan for the swinging 60s, but the popular one for the information age has to be, "there’s no business like the affiliate business."

What other business can earn you an obscene income and still allow you to spend quality time with your growing children? What other business can allow you to grow such a huge monthly turnover and still not tie you down as a slave to your money-making machine?

Many online entrepreneurs in the affiliate business may not know it, but there is a very high price to pay for growing a successful non-affiliate business. You have to worry about the staff, inventory and a million other tiny details capable of causing your thriving business to suddenly go belly up without any warning.

Folks thriving in the affiliate business may not fully appreciate just how lucky and privileged they are having the sort of business where there is absolutely no limit to the sort of revenue that one can earn. And yet all you need to do is create a system of constantly generating leads and then referring them to your affiliate site or affiliate sites. Somebody else closes the sale for you, somebody else takes care of delivery and inventory and all the other hassles and troubles and headaches that go into running a successful enterprise.

Affiliate networking is the most effective way of generating extra profits! Affiliate networking is a form of publicity that has existed for ages but it has probably never been more popular than now. Given the software available to use, and the availability of the Internet, affiliate networking is exploding. Through affiliate networking you have access to the global market and can work from home if you choose. Affiliate networking is easy to do. You do not need to be a web master to experience success in affiliate networking. Quite simply if you can "point and click" you can be successful as in affiliate networking.

What is Affiliate Networking?

Affiliate networking allows you to promote a merchant’s services or products to potential customers in their website via email, text links, banners ads, pop-out banners and even flash ads. You may also promote your own products and services through affiliate networking. You do not even need a web site to participate in affiliate networking. I will discuss how you don’t need a web site in future affiliate networking blogs, however if you want to know now simply click on the "Cash Vault" banner add at the top of this blog.

Affiliate networking uses revenue sharing advertising between merchants and their affiliates. Affiliate networking is a symbiotic relationship that is mutually beneficial to the person selling a product or service and the person helping to sell. Distributors are rewarded for their sales as well as for their efforts to build their affiliate network. Merchants are rewarded by greater sales! Affiliate networking is an opportunity for a mutually beneficial relationship where both parties profit.

There are several free advertising options for affiliate networking that I will discuss in future blogs. Affiliate networking is a method of distributing products or services directly to consumers through a network of independent distributors. Joining an affiliate network is usually free. Visit my blog www.affiliate-networking.blogspot.com to learn more about which affiliate network to join.

When you visit my blog you will find that I provide you with information on affiliate networking tools, techniques, and services. There are quite a few free tools and resources to help you be successful in affiliate networking.

Most affiliate networks provide pay-per-lead (PPL), pay-per-sale (PPS), pay-per-action (PPA) - sometimes called cost per action (CPA) - and pay-per-click (PPC) offers from merchants that you promote. I will discuss affiliate networking promotion tools and techniques in future blogs.

In an affiliate network your knowledge of how to leverage affiliates can be the secret to multiplying your product sales by a factor of 10 or more.

If you have not already considered using affiliate networking for your business, now is the best time to begin!

I have been involved in the Internet since 1993. I began my career as a computer programmer and now specialize in affiliate networking. Contact me: webmaster@freewebsitedesign.org

First of all, if you don’t have your own affiliate program that you are in complete control of, then you DON’T have you own affiliate program. If you don’t own the database or are not at least able to download it, then you DON’T have your own affiliate program. If you have a limit on the number of products, price, or limited control of your creatives, then you DON’T have your own affiliate program. If you can NOT directly contact your affiliates, then you DON’T have your own affiliate program, someone ELSE does!

How can you fix this?

Running your own affiliate program gives you full control and allows you to boost your sales significantly. Your product is the life-blood of your business and your affiliates are the arteries. Don’t entrust that to just anyone.

Your affiliates are your salesmen; they are the officially-licensed resellers of your product or service. Train them, massage them and treat them right! You can’t do that with a system you have no control over.

An automated affiliate management program allows you to easily train, manage, pay and reward your affiliates, all from one central nerve center. You have complete control over everything about your affiliate program.

When you got your first job, you were trained how to do it, right? Well, the same holds true for your affiliates. Train them on how to sell your stuff. An automated affiliate management program effortlessly manages this process for you. It also imposes NO limits on price, the number of products, or messages you can send to your sales force (affiliates) either.

The system should also allow you to upload both text and graphic ads and banners to your affiliate center. That is where your affiliates go to grab their affiliate code, banners and text for their promotional efforts. You can come up with your own creatives and upload them, ready-made for your affiliates to use in all types of promotions (i.e. banners, classifieds, ezines, lists, etc.).

You can also use your autoresponder(s) to set up a training series for your affiliates that teaches them exactly how to promote your program. You can view sales and conversion stats for your affiliates. They can also view their own stats, but the beauty is that you can use this information to direct messages to certain groups of affiliates.

For instance, you can send a special message to your strong affiliate(s) offering them a larger commission as an incentive to promote your program harder. You could also use the statistical data from your affiliate center to target those struggling affiliates. You can even inquire and direct more focused training or help their way.

You run YOUR affiliate program with complete control! You can set up trackers for the banners and ads so you can track banner campaigns, or just see how well your classified ad pulls. Be creative; do it your way. That’s the real power in having your own robust affiliate program that you control. You have the flexibility to run it the way you want.

You can find stand-alone affiliate software, or affiliate management software in many places on the Internet. Simply perform a search for it in your favorite search engine. There are also many hosted systems that don’t require you to mess around with any new software up-loads and learning curves. A program like this is best if you want a robust, integrated system that you can simply plug your products into and get bookin’ with some sales! Integrated systems also tie in many other features, like sequential autoresponders, list management and email marketing capabilities, ad tracking, expense tracking and product management functionality.

Rigid systems like ClickBank are good, but you have no control over it and NO database. Your affiliate database belongs to ClickBank. Don’t get me wrong. ClickBank has its place, but if you have your own product/service and you’re serious about your e-business, then you need to have full-control over every aspect of your e-business. Letting someone else have your database is like having no business at all. What the heck is that?

Online, hosted systems were created just for this purpose – Total e-business automation, from click to sale. You Have Control - You Own The Database – You Set Your Limits – PLUS, it is integrated with all of your business’s other marketing and ecommerce functions for a Total Kick Butt – Take No Prisoners All-In-One E-Business Automation System!

Don’t forget the stand-alone programs that run from your website that you completely own outright. These, you have to configure and upload to your server. You may have to create a database and edit some scripts in order for this type of affiliate program to work correctly. If you’re that savvy, then a stand-alone system may be what you need. However, if you don’t have time and/or the expertise, an existing hosted solution is your best option. They are already tested and proven and just waiting for you to plug your business in.

That’s the secret to increasing your traffic and your sales using affiliate management programs. You face the truth about your affiliate program, realize the opportunities, choose your option then, execute!
