Many of us start out with websites that we want to generate some income with, so we think that Google is the one and only solution to our desire or even our need to earn some extra money. And, it’s fair to say that a lot of money can be made with the use of Google ads on one’s website, but only if they work correctly. Money is made on these ads when relevant ads are posted on our website so that visitors can click on them and we can be compensated for every click! Unfortunately, a good deal of the time one will visit their website only to find that public service ads have been placed on their website by Google, and these ads don’t pay at all when your visitors click on them.

You can report the fact that you have had a lot of public service ads on your website to Google, but generally there is not much that Google can do about it. The public service ads are placed on your website when relevant or targeted ads are unavailable, or when Google is simply unable to obtain information from the page to display relevant ads. This can be frustrating when for one reason or another ads that pay are not posted on your website continually. The reason that this is so frustrating is that you have only aligned yourself with Google AdSense to make some cash on your website, even if you are not profiting from it in any other manner.

Luckily, if you are tired of seeing public service ads on your website you CAN do something about it. You don’t have to sit by and wait for Google to decide that you are worthy of those ads that pay! You can visit a website such as www.defaultads.com which will show you how to monetize public service ads and even alternate the ads shown when Google AdSense, or Chitika, and other content advertising networks cannot accommodate your needs with targeted ads on your webpage. This awesome website can help you out when you load all of your affiliate or other ads into DefaultAds when it quickly generates a link to include in your Google AdSense alternate ad URL.

This system will allow you to make money when you typically wouldn’t be making any at all! The best thing about this system is that it is totally risk free. You don’t have to worry about the content that will be shown as DefaultAds will only show their ads one out of every 100 impressions and they will be the same size, quality, and will even target the same category that you would target with the Google ads!

http://www.DefaultAds.com offers a free, easy way to monetize Google and Chitika public service ads by replacing them with your own affiliate or other advertising network ads.

An affiliate program is a marketing strategy that a trading site uses to promote its services and products. Trading site makes marketing agreements with other sites about which it feels that its target audience visits these sites. These affiliate sites then post banners and links of the merchant site. When the visitor of an affiliate site clicks a banner or link, it takes it to the original merchant site and the affiliate sites in returns get a fixed commission for it. Affiliates are paid either on per click, per impression, per lead, or per sale basis. However, pay per lead is most useful among all. There are affiliates who make their money virtually on autopilot using the Adwords opportunity where they bid for the most relevant keywords. The power behind this idea is that they get the most targeted hits, actually people looking for exactly what the affiliate opportunity product has to offer. Using this kind of system, one does not even need a web site.

Let me explain in a little more detail exactly how it works. Let us say for example that your affiliate opportunity product was a book that teaches you how to play the piano. The affiliate would then bid of Google adwords that are related to playing the piano like, learn to play piano, easy piano playing, read piano music and so on. Meaning that folks who searched using those keywords would come across their ad on the right side of the search engine results on the same word.

Lots of traffic looking for exactly what the affiliate opportunity has to offer will end up being directed to the affiliate site. After that it is a game of numbers. Maybe out of every 50 visitors, one person will end up buying. But the point is that once the Adwords campaign has been set, it is all autopilot. Prospects click through and all purchases are handled by the affiliate program.

Now you can do exactly the same thing only this time it will be free. All you need is a blog for this amazing affiliate opportunity. Using our earlier example, the subject of your blog would be learning how to play the piano and your content would cover all the same keywords you would have used in an Adwords campaign and you can go much further and cover dozens of other peripheral but equally important keywords.

Blogs are indeed a very lucrative way of cashing in big on any affiliate opportunity.

I had a classmate in graduate school that was paying for his school doing something he called affiliate marketing. I didn’t know what this was but I thought if he made enough to pay his way through school I wanted a part of it.

I had everything you need to become an afilate marketer, except the most important ingrediant needed, knowledge!

So I asked my friend what was this affiliate marketing thing? He told me it was “A risk-free form of advertising in which a company pays its partners a commission for sales and/or leads generated by these partners..” “All you have to do is send other people to the affiliate website and they would give me a check twice a month.” So affiliate marketing was a internet version of the good ol’ finder’s fee used by brick and mortar type business.

Sounded easy but it wasn’t. The concept of affiliate marketing is that you get paid for your performance. You don’t do work, you don’t make money. This works well for the merchant who only pays for the actual work you perform. However what about the individual that depends on his performance to feed his/her family?

Believe me if getting those customer/leads to go to your affiliate website (click through) was easy the merchant wouldn’t need you. And please make no mistake the merchant does need you. You see it’s much easier to leverage marketing at 1% of effort of a thousand people, than it is to 100% of the effort of 1 person.

So how does the individual take advantage of affiliate marketing? Basically, the individual seeking to do affiliate marketing may want to have some knowledge of advertising, understand PPC search engines , some knowledge of email marketing, other ways of generating targeted traffic.

Spending $100 to $350 dollars a month for advertising before you refer the first client is not unusual. This means you start each month in the hole, and as traffic is sent to your affiliate website you slowly recoup until you make a profit. Basically is take money to make money even if you into affiliate marketing.

The concept of this being a risk free endeavor is both not true and not realistic, I don’t think there is one single internet business opportunity that’s worth the effort which is risk free. Heck if it was easy everyone would be making millions doing affiliate marketing. I think the only person for whom there is no risk is the merchant who only pays for the actual work you perform. Everyone else must put out or get out!

Can you get rich with affiliate marketing? Absolutely, people are doing it all the time, but they are the individuals that have made an effort to learn the ins and outs of affiliate marketing and understand what it’s really about.

You too can become an affiliate marketing success but the chance of doing so with out a real plan and knowledge is not that good. Here are my suggestions for the individuals wishing to take on affiliate marketing.

1. Check out the merchant completely before you commit your effort and money
2. Never pay to become an affiliate (the whole concept of paying someone to make money for then scares me.)
3. Find a program you like and stick to it. Don’t jump from one program to another most will work if the proper marketing is applied.
4. learn as much about marketing as possible
5. Do something every day. Never let a day go by that you don’t try to improve your traffic or site raking.
6. Be patient you may loose money before you start to make money.

It is always a good idea for an affiliate to look very carefully at the kind of audience that they are already receiving on their site before even deciding what category of affiliate program they would like to join.

Not only will this save them a lot of trouble, but it can also prove to be hugely profitable. One of the many advantages we have on the web these days is the fact that there are multitudes of affiliate programs available that virtually cover every area and idea that you can think of. There is even an affiliate program that sells real estate on the moon. Because of the colossal number of different affiliate programs, it is much easier to select an idea that fits perfectly with the theme of your site and the kind of visitors that you are getting.

One excellent place to explore for your perfect affiliate idea is Clickbank. Clickbank specializes in information products and the commission rates are huge at 50 per cent. ClickbanK boasts of over 11,000 affiliate products, that is plenty of options for somebody looking for the perfect affiliate business idea. It enables one to find something that fits in perfectly with the audience that they usually reach with their web site or blog site.

After you’ve found the perfect affiliate idea that you would like to promote as the main program on your site, you can then concentrate on generating content. The idea is that not only will your content stay focused on the subject and topic that you usually cover, but you should also adjust slightly to accommodate your affiliate program idea as well.

The Google Adsense program is growing in popularity as a "win-win" program for everyone involved. As an advertising platform, advertisers get a targeted audience who really buy the services and products, adsense publishers get paid for displaying ads in their content sites, and Google itself keeps on rolling out good functional features that keep the program growing.

It is no wonder that the Google Adsense program has led to a flurry of adsense related activities and programs.

Daily, I get a fair share of emails on programs related to adsense coming into my email box. Never a day goes by where I do not see an email advertising the latest membership site limited to 500 or 1000 people on exclusive Private Label Rights that can be used as content for adsense websites or for promotion to the article depositories or for compilation into reports to drive traffic. Weekly, I receive emails from some gurus’ who are promoting another software that has the ability to generate hundreds and thousands of pages within minutes suitable for infusion with adsense. Seldom do I see a day goes by where I do not see an offer to buy a package of ready made websites with affiliate programs attached…and of course, with google adsense.

In the heat of the moment and amidst the popularity of the Google Adsense program, it is important to have a reality check. Not all programs are genuine, or no matter how genuine they are, some of them are unable to stay the course and fold up pretty fast especially where they have a dwindling number of members, as members do get bored staying with a membership and run away to join the next membership site promising all the goodies in just a matter of months!

Now, when you next receive a program relating to Adsense and to create your own Adsense Empire within the month, perform a reality check. Some questions that may help are:

1. Are the promises in the offer outlandish and just a slick of posh copywriting and advertising?

2. Who are the originators of the program? Are they some well known established marketers who are well regarded in their field of expertise?

3. Is the program limited to a reasonable number of people so that circulation of their Private Label rights articles and ebooks is controlled to avoid superflous duplication?

4. Is the program designed to allow you to grow your business as a adsense publisher or is the program designed to increase your income from adsense only "very fast" with some doubtful technology, including some hidden "technology" , including a hint of black hat "search-engine-optimisation" techniques which are against the Terms of Service of Google Adsense?

5. Are you personally willing to spend the time and commit to the program to make it a success or are you just attracted by the special offers included in the program advertised, knowing fully well you are unable to provide the commitment to make the program a success?

6. Is the program "mentor-based" to teach you the process of how to be a successful adsense publisher or is it to provide just the tools for the trade? This is important to ensure you are selecting a program that meets your needs.

In the end, the underlying reason for your participation in the Google Adsense program should be for you to be reasonably compensated as an adsense publisher who provides quality website content and not just any website "junk".

Perform your reality check on any offers that come through your email box relating to Google Adsense and avoid being scammed or short-changed when the operator of the program runs out of you, and suddenly disappears to a tropical island somewhere in Asia for "vacation" and closes his program down unannounced, leaving his members in a lurch.

In case you think this is far fetched, this really happened recently…and so a reality check is necessary to weed out the wheat from the chaff. Protect yourself with a reality check the next time you get that special offer through your email box and you will be safe rather than be sorry.

An affiliate web site is enough to make you some serious cash, and one does not really require to bother themselves trying to build a web site which will most probably look second rate anyhow, at least when compared to the frequently extremely professional affiliate web sites.

Yes, it has often been advised by experts for people to create their own sites to use to direct highly targeted traffic to their affiliate web sites. But that piece of advice was originally issued when the World Wide Web was a very small place. Even blogs did not exist. Today blogs not only exist and dominate the net, but they are so many that they’re almost drowning most web sites out of existence.

The situation is made much more complicated where somebody is using promotional articles to market and promote their affiliate web site. It means that you will have to direct traffic from your article to your web site and then re-direct the same traffic onto your affiliate web site. That’s quite a long journey and you are guaranteed to lose many along the way. Why not just use the articles to direct your prospects direct to your affiliate web site? This means that most of your time will be devoted to working on your content and not to trying to maintain a web site that has very poor traffic anyway.

This writer uses articles and also maintains various blogs, because blogs are really just very convenient vehicles for good content. I see no need to have cumbersome web sites, which I have had in the past and they have tended to be more of a bother than an asset.

By combining well distributed, quality articles and blogs to post the same articles at, one can make some very serious money from affiliate programs without having their own web site.

Simply putting up affiliate links at your site and waiting for something to happen is not the best affiliate marketing plan. Chances are that it will not work out too well.

The best affiliate marketing plan calls for you to put yourself in the shoes of your prospect. It is best if you can flag down those who have the problem that the affiliate program you are marketing can solve.

The way to flag or pick out prospects from the visitors to your site is to post a prominent message somewhere on your popular pages. The message should lead to an article where you explain in a neutral manner how that problem can be solved. Do not mention the name of your affiliate business, instead you should speak in general terms and then include a link at the bottom of the article to "one such business" that can solve the problem. This link should of course be your affiliate link.

This is an excellent pre-selling technique and one of the best affiliate marketing ideas that you can implement at your site that will always work very well. You can always be sure that a vast majority of the people who read your problem-solving article through will end up visiting your affiliate site and many of them will end up making a purchase.

Always look out for the best in affiliate marketing ideas and it will tend to have an impact on your revenue from your affiliate programs.
