When a webmaster decides to create a site to promote casinos the first thing he or she will explore is the online casino affiliate programs. Affiliate programs for online casinos are numerous and each has a unique characteristic. CPays, Brightshare, RoxyAffiliates, Casino Blasters and Casino Partners just to name a few.

However, the webmaster may have a difficult time trying to choose the one that should be promoted. They all have great terms, offer bonuses and seem to have tens of incentives. Yet internet gambling is in itself such a lucrative field that any terms offered seem low.

Still, since online casinos are so popular the turn around ration is great and allows webmasters to make a lot of money if the right affiliate program is chosen. Many programs have a system that works well for players and affiliate members like BrightShare and RoxyAffiliates.

Others like CPays and Casino Blasters have a slow response time and there have been many complaints against them.

The best option webmasters have is opting for an online casino affiliate program after going to the various forums and learning about the reactions members have had with the programs.

Internet gambling is the future of casinos and gambling has become a dependable and legal source of income if the proper research is done and studied.

Let’s start at the beginning… First of all, how do you define an affiliate program, or affiliate system? It’s a system in which an owner, developer or creator of a product allows other people outside of his or her own company to promote the product for them, in return for a percentage of the commissions.

Most successful marketers online use this resource to their advantage, because lets face it, it’s far easier for 100 people to sell 1000 units of a product than it is to have one person sell a thousand units of a product.

Of course it’s possible for one person to sell 1000 units, but we don’t have all the time in the world, so affiliates are generally the answer, and should make up a large amount of your business’ revenue if you’re promoting your own products.

In case you’re kind of underestimating the situation, don’t have any affiliate system in place, or haven’t decided to fully utilize this type of system within your business, let me put a scene to you to make this all crystal clear. Here’s the situation;

You’re a business owner, you’ve just launched your shiny new site, which just happens to sell the same product as Mr. X here. Both yours and Mr. X’s product are priced at $500. The difference is you’ve built yourself up a relatively modest 150 affiliates, and Mr. X is doing all the promotion alone.

Now imagine you each make ten sales in the first month through personal promotion. You both make $5000. Great, but when your affiliates come in, it’s easy to see how this figure can double.

Now of course not all of your affiliates are going to be heavy hitters, great promoters or even make any sales at all, ever. But lets say just 10% of your affiliates, just 15 of them, make a measly three sales each in that same month at 60% commissions? Pulling out my handy calculator, I can tell you that through those three sales from a small percentage of your affiliates, you’ve just made an extra $9000, bringing your total to $14000 for that month.

You’re laughing, and poor Mr. X. He was one of the many marketers out there that didn’t take this type of affiliate marketing seriously, or didn’t see any real profit in it. Meanwhile, you’ve just pocketed in 4 weeks what it takes a lot of people in regular jobs four or five months, often longer, to earn.

Are you starting to see the power of affiliates? If you have an online business, or some products you wish to sell online – then do take a look at using affiliates as your silent sales force!

An affiliate program refers to the modern, web based equivalent of an old concept. In the past businesses have paid other groups or businesses ‘finder’s fees’ for recommending their service. Web based affiliates work on this principle.

Company A will ask that company B has an advertisement for their website (site A) included on their website, site B. So when people viewing site B see the advertisement for site A and go on it, company B earns money from company A as reward for providing them with customers.

With online business this payment is commonly done based on the amount of times that an advertisement is clicked on by customers. When the user clicks an advertisement banner and is redirected to the advertised site, it is recorded and an agreed amount of money is given to the site hosting the advert, per click. Many sites are very open about this and will state that the following advertisements are affiliates and that to show support for their site, please click the advertisement at least once, providing them with the funds to continue running the site. The great benefit of this method is that the advertiser only pays for each actual customer referred to them, minimising money spent on ineffective advertising.

Clicking is not the only method used. Sometimes payment is by referral, the customer being more formally referred to the affiliate company by a method such as placing a box on a form suggesting that the user accepts mail from the affiliate. Also, it is common for the advertiser to pay their affiliates per sale, giving them a percentage of the sales made from the customers that they refer.

Some companies provide the affiliate connections between businesses as their sole trade. They will seek out companies that can benefit from advertising with each other and for a tariff, provide the connection.

Affiliate groups have come under fire from internet users for using ‘spam’. This is blanketing the web user with advertisements, through email, pop up windows etc, to get them to click the advertisements. However this is not practised by the majority of affiliate programs, who are content to simply provide a modest banner linking to the site that is paying for the advertisement, often quite helpful to customers.

Mostly all online marketers know about affiliate programs. Affiliate programs is where you promote someone elses product in return for commision for doing so. Affiliate programs are always free for publishers. It is a great way to earn revenue without having to spend any money out of your pocket. Not to mention, with affiliate programs some people make thousands of dollars everyday!

Affiliate programs are not for everyone though. You have to have the know-how, and will power to be able to take any kind of product, and make it appear desireable to the consumer. The top affiliate programs are Clickbank, Commission Junction, and Paydotcom along with hundreds of other ones. If you look around the internet you will see that most companies have an affiliate program that you can join for free. It’s really easy to do once you get the hang of it. I do it myself with a couple of sites that I made. I love it. Especially when there is something new to promote. You have adrenaline going, and are all smiles in anticipation waiting to sell whatever is in front of you. I personally use Clickbank as my main affiliate program in order to earn commissions with. It’s a great place to start, and to get into.

Can you imagine how you were feeling if someone just gave you store with thousands of hot selling products? Can you?

That what you can get from Amazon. Free of charge, no upfront cost - ZERO - NULL. I’m not telling about putting the small ads around your website hoping that someone will click one and will place and order withing 24 hours than will pay for the product (well, he needs to pay if you wish to get your commision) Situation is much better when you have your store with shopping basket. Your chances for commision increase dramaticaly as everone who adds products on your websites and goes only to the Amazon checkout system can place the order within 30 days and you will stil get commision.

I’ve used CGI script which can downloaded from Amazon Web Services at: http://solutions.amazonwebservices.com

You receive immediate access to the resources once you register at http://associates.amazon.com

I found free Perl based script called Amazon Products Feed. This can give you great starting point .

You can obviously edit templates, change fonts, colors, add Adsense advertising or pack iframes around the website.

One of interesting features I added was the Special Offer to encourage clicks directly to Amazon. However I feel that every time I remove them leaving shopping cart only the profitability is going up.

Using this simple, ready made technology you can make quite good money. You can also encourage your friends, family or advertise around to get more and more traffic/sales.

Keep also in mind that your own purchase will not qualify as affiliate fee. I strongly advise you to shop through my website as a little reward for the information above.

The operating cgi scripts is not complicated even if you are novice. Just make sure that the directory you run the script can execute cgi scripts. Your administrator should help you.

For many new online entrepreneurs affiliate marketing is one of the first things that they get involved it. The concept is pretty simple. Promote an affiliate site and when a sale is made you get paid. It’s understandable why this model is so popular for online entrepreneurs.

New affiliate marketers can get themselves of to a good start by avoiding some common affiliate mistakes. Here are some of the common mistakes made by new affiliates.

Poor Research – Many new online entrepreneurs believe that if they join every affiliate program under the sun they may have a good chance of making a ton of money in different industries. They end up choosing the first one they see without doing careful research as to whether it will be profitable or if it will complement the overall theme of their website. When choosing programs, be sure to take some time to research the product and comp plan in order to find out if you will be able to succeed with it.

Poor Ad Copy – Many new marketers end up using the same ad copy that is provided by the affiliate program. It’s important to come up with your own original ad copy in order to distinguish yourself from the masses. This will increase your conversion rates and lead to more people clicking on your ad.

Capturing Leads – Many affiliates will send people directly to the sales page without having some method of capturing a leads e-mail address so that they can continue to follow up with them over time. Most people won’t buy on the first visit so it’s important to capture their email address so you can follow up and make more sales down the line.

These are just a few of the common mistakes made by new affiliate marketers. By recognizing them and taking steps to avoid them you will put yourself in a good position to succeed as an affiliate marketer.

When you join an affiliate program nothing happens until you help your merchant partner sell his goods and services. This will be done through your website and your advertising. It is only after a sale is made that you receive a commission for your assistance in making the sale.

It is therefore necessary for you to have a well designed website and a well thought out marketing plan that generates a regular flow of traffic to your site. Most of the work you will have to do in any affiliate program involves creating, improving, and tweaking your website and advertising so that you can achieve more traffic and sales.

Advertising will bring traffic to your site. Creating a better site will enable you to make the sale, and in effect, generate superior returns for your efforts.

Some suggestions you might want to consider when building and upgrading your web site.

Understand your market. Your site should cater to a target market. You do not want to have a site that caters to everyone. It gets too confusing and expensive. Instead, analyze the current market and decide on the area where you can make the most profit. Avoid spreading yourself too thin. Instead, concentrate on learning everything about the products and services that you offer. By so doing you will be able to better merchandise and market the products and services. You will be much better off choosing a topic or product that you know and love, than choosing five topics or products that you do not know or understand. You will not make money online if you do not specialize.

Advertise intelligently. When you build your website you must have your product and visitors in mind. Will your product and finished site be something that people will want to come back to on a regular basis? Will they want to visit regularly, or will they be turned off by what is there? Many site builders make the mistake of just putting up banners and links wherever they can. Put your shoes on backwards and look at your site as a prospective customer. Would you actually bother to click on these ads or banners, especially when they are nothing more but a nuisance? Remember it is your customer’s dollars that make your business successful. Try to build your site with your customers in mind, and provide for what they will need and want.

Customer satisfaction is important in affiliate marketing, as in all other businesses. You want to build long lasting relationships by adopting the strategies that satisfy your customers and keeps them coming back. You owe it to yourself to apply these strategies and intelligence to your efforts so that you can be included in the elite few who make money online. As long as you stay committed to excellence, making extra money online will not be difficult for you.

Multiple income streams is a big topic in the affiliate marketing arena. Everyone talks about having multiple income streams. I am a firm believer in multiple income streams and think that you should implement additional streams of income, but I don’t believe you should do it all at once. My view is that you should build one income stream first to the point where it is producing consistently for you. Then continue to add another and then another.

With that being said, let’s talk about why it’s important to have multiple income streams. Multiple income streams provides you with some degree of safety in the even that one affiliate program goes bust you will have several others working for you. This is the general idea of multiple income streams.

For example you can build an affiliate income stream in the niche of “gardening”. Once you have that stream set up and making money on a consistent basis, you can then develop another niche maybe in “gloves”. Who knows? But you get the general idea.

By setting up small profitable income streams over time you will be able to build up a sizeable passive income generator on the internet. Is setting this up easy? I’d say that it is challenging and will take some time, effort, and dedication. Remember we’re not trying to get rich overnight. Setting up a business on the internet takes time.

So remember that multiple income streams is a great idea. Just don’t jump in head first to a bund of different one’s at the same time. You may find yourself overwhelmed and end up losing your shirt in the process. Take your time and be patient and never give up.

If you promote an affiliate program and are not redirecting your affiliate links, you may be missing out on traffic and commissions opportunities. Redirecting your affiliate program links helps to minimize spam filtering of your email campaigns, increase the acceptance of article submissions, build backlinks to your site, and reduce "click fear".

Minimize Spam Filtering

If you are promoting an affiliate program through email, other (unscrupulous) affiliates of the same company may be indirectly hurting the delivery rate of your messages. Email filters will block messages that contain content or links associated with spam. Even if you send your message only to subscribers who have double opted-in to your list, your messages may still be blocked if it contains a URL used by spammers.

Search Engine Optimization

Most affiliate program URLs look something like http://www.example.com/?id=123. Unfortunately, most search engines have limited or no ability to read these links.

Google(TM) warns, "If you decide to use dynamic pages (i.e., the URL contains a "?" character), be aware that not every search engine spider crawls dynamic pages as well as static pages. It helps to keep the parameters short and the number of them few." Google goes on to tell us "Don’t use "&id=" as a parameter in your URLs, as we don’t include these pages in our index."

Furthermore, if you are publishing your affiliate link on other sites such as blogs, forums, etc., you are missing out on the opportunity to build valuable backlinks that could increase your search engine rankings.

Article Submissions

Submitting articles to web publishers and article directories is a powerful way to build backlinks to your site. Unfortunately, many publishers and directories do not accept articles that include affiliate links. However, virtually all will accept links to your own site. By replacing your affiliate link with a link to your own site, even one that redirects to your affiliate link, you will increase the number of article submissions accepted by publishers and directories.

Reduce "Click Fear"

Thanks to those few sites on the Web that distribute adware, spyware, viruses, etc., many web users are fearful of clicking on links, especially those that look "suspicious". To the average user who has no special knowledge of the internal workings of the Web, a link that has "unusual" characters such as those in dynamic URLs (e.g. http://www.example.com/?id=123&sub=456) will appear less trustworthy than a static link.

How to Redirect Your Affiliate Program URL

There are several ways to redirect your affiliate program links. The most "search engine friendly" method is the 301 Permanent redirect with the .htaccess file. You can use this method if your site is hosted on an Apache (Linux, Unix) based server.

To create a permanent redirect, open (or create) the .htaccess file. On a single line add the following code to the file:

redirect 301 /example.html http://www.example.com/?id=123&sub=456

This code tells the server to redirect "http://www.yoursite.com/example.html" to your affiliate link "http://www.example.com/?id=123&sub=456".

Other methods of redirecting include using PHP’s header() function and HTML’s meta refresh.

No matter what affiliate program you’re promoting, you will benefit by redirecting your links. Redirecting your affiliate links can improve the delivery rate of your email campaigns as well as increase CTR. Your articles may be more readily accepted by article directories and web publishers. Furthermore, redirecting replaces links to your merchant with valuable backlinks to your own site.

Affiliate marketing has been around for many years on the internet. For new people coming one it’s a simple way for them to get started in internet marketing. It doesn’t require them to develop any product or service. All that is required is to get buying customers to their affiliate site.

Affiliate marketing provides a mutually beneficial partnership between both the company and the affiliate. The company provides the affiliate with the tools to market the program and the company only has to pay when a sale or acquisition is made. The affiliate is paid based on their ability to get paying subscribers to the company’s website.

This essentially is free advertising for the company because they only pay the affiliate when a sale is made.

The internet also provides the affiliate a vast marketplace for which they can develop traffic to their affiliate program. Being that most affiliate programs are free to join many affiliates market multiple programs in order to capitalize on many niche markets. This allows affiliates to make money on multiple affiliate products and in turn increase their incomes.

Affiliate marketing is a great way for new internet marketers to get started on the internet. It provides numerous benefits to both the affiliate company as well as the affiliate marketer. There are many online marketers out there who earn there income from home exclusively through the power of affiliate marketing. In a nutshell affiliate marketing is an excellent way to start generating income on the internet. So if you’re thinking about starting an online business, be sure to keep affiliate marketing at the top of your list.
