Be prepared for the long haul.

Are you struggling to get sales, leads or referrals? Then it may be time to take a step back and reflect on how you have conducted your business so far. For most people failure is a result of a half hearted attempt at marketing an over sold, under achieving product or program. There is no magic formula here, you simply have to learn from your experience.

It is a sad fact that most of us start off on our Internet Marketing career by being hooked on good sales copy, which does not necessarily guarantee a solid product or service. Affiliate Programs can be a great source of income with the right products, and the importance of 2nd tier commissions have been well documented recently. It is also advisable to have more than one program, perhaps compliment your affiliate programs with a networking plan or be part of a Matrix. These should be looked upon as a longer term source of residual income. Again be careful with your selections here. Just think for a moment of all the networking plans and matrix builders that are constantly thrown at us every day. Sure, they sound good, they look easy, but when you really start to dig in you can have a hard time finding an actual product on offer as most are dressed up and wrapped for recruitment only.

For affiliate & networking plans then I would suggest promoting maybe three. Look for three solid programs that offer something of value rather than just filling up a downline. Maybe choose ones that provide learning tools & resources that helps everyone to succeed. Concentrate 100% on marketing your programs and use every advertising channel available to you - traffic exchanges, mailing lists, classified ads, offline advertising, forums, ezines etc. If you have a website then you should also build your own mailing list. This is crucial if you are to have any long term success.

If this all seems like too much work then maybe you are in the wrong business. You will have to be focused on what you are aiming for, and do not be distracted by all the other “sure fire winners” that find their way to your inbox.

I would also advise that one of the three programs you choose to promote is not dependent on building a downline, but instead pays you a more than 50% commission on every referral. Example: You participate in a program that costs you $30 a month. For every person you introduce you are paid $20 a month, so by introducing just 2 people you immediately have a profit of $10 a month. These figures are for example only, you could introduce 10 or 100. The point is - with this one plan you can be in profit very quickly and this plan could be funding the other two while you build them up. The trick is not to be waiting too long before you start earning, so you will be more inclined to stick with it.

Now, with marketing you have to be prepared to use all the tools and resources that are on offer. Learn all you can about your programs, how they actually work, what the benefits are and get to know the compensation plans inside out. That way you can encourage and reassure your prospects to join you.

When you do bring people in, communicate with them. Tell them how you market, what works for you and what doesn’t. Do not assume that they know how to go about things. They may not! You will get greater results as a team than you will on your own. Good luck.

Creating "multiple streams of income" means creating more and more systems that are going to assure income for you in a stable way for your future.

Is part of this concept:

  1. creating a system that assures you income (the "stream");
  2. having it as stable as possible, so you can count on it;
  3. repeating 1 and 2, so your streams become "multiple".

This concept is nowadays popular in business and especially in online business, where you can implement the above three points easily. Many businessmen are recurring to multiple streams of income to secure their personal future and the future of their own business.

Affiliate marketing is a good way to create multiple stream of income as, by definition, is based on other web merchants products and services. You don’t need to invest big money on making your own product and you don’t have to worry about book keeping, customer support and ecommerce. Just send people to the web merchant site using a special link with your own code, and you are done (if they buy, of course…).

You can see every product as an income stream. Promote multiple products and you are going to setup multiple income streams. Affiliate marketing programs come in various shapes and forms and there are a large number of affiliate marketing programs that you can sign on with right now and start gaining bucks in no time. So affiliate marketing is an endless source of income streams.

Here is a simple outline of the process:

  1. Assess your resources and fill your training gap
  2. Select a basket of niche topics to evaluate
  3. Evaluate their profitability
  4. Choose the most profitable one
  5. Select a product to promote in the niche
  6. Get acquainted with it
  7. Promote the product
  8. Stabilize your income stream
  9. Restart from 2 with another niche basket.

As you can see, every time you complete the 8th point you have a new income stream. Complete the process a few times and you have your multiple streams of income through Affiliate Marketing.

Notice the importance of step 8th. Without stability, your income stream is at risk. It’s stability that allows you to start with another topic and to add a new stream to the previous one. It’s stability that grants you long term growth.

Stability means tweaking your system to maximize your results and minimize your efforts. You have to stabilize the number of people coming to the web merchant site using your link and the number of these guys that effectively buy at that site.

So what are the first steps?

First, brainstorm a series of niche topics you are interested in and you could promote.

Second, find your training gap and do something to reduce it.

Third, start the process.

You can do both the second and third step by grabbing my free Turnkey Money Machine ecourse at my affiliate marketing website (link: http://affiliate-marketing.thesolution2.com) where you can get more info on how to start a profitable multiple streams of income affiliate marketing the easy and stable way.

You will be left in the dust if you don’t find affiliates for your product. Don’t try to go it all alone. You need people who “have your back.” These are your affiliates.

With so many businesses hunting all the time for them, you must use creative ways to find affiliates. The many offers dangling out there to entice affiliates forces you wonder how do these businesses make any money? But make it they do.

Have you considered asking your Joint Venture Partner for help?

Go ahead, slowly wade into the Joint Venture waters. You know you need to recruit affiliates, ask for help from your Joint Venture Partners.

You came on board with your Joint Venture Partner because you felt he had something to offer your business. Now is the time to make approaches.

Your Joint Venture Partner has affiliates of his own. Ask him to bring you together with some of his top affiliates. Have your plan ready to offer them a certain amount of money per affiliate.

So what if you have to fork out more money than you had planned, don’t despair. Sometimes that’s the nature of the beast. Its the cost you have to pay for throwing your hat into the internet arena.

Remember, these are his top affiliates. If your proposal hits the sweet spot, you will do well. Think longer term. If things work out for you this time, these top selling affiliates will jump at the opportunity to work with your next launch.

While we are still on this segment, consider this!

If you are able to get really good affiliates, why not offer them full commission on the sale of your product? You would have to be thinking long term as this is a long term strategy. If all should go well, they would be the first to sign up for any future deals you may offer.

Indeed, it is true that many of these affiliates don’t own established businesses. Maybe they don’t want one. Their motivation could be different from yours, but you both need each other.

These guys have to put food on their table just like you. If these affiliates work hard for your product, you need to focus on providing them with the tools for success.

Give them a training course, the various ads, the banners and pre done ads. How about offering your affiliates an autoresponder series to help market your product. More importantly, have your affiliates purchased your product? Do they know all of the ins and outs of your product?

If your product is expensive have you considered giving them an “abridged” version of your product? Put yourself in their shoes. Think from their perspective.

On to the final item up for consideration. Some have toyed with the idea of hiring a Manager of Affiliate Recruitment. The primary responsibility for the position would be to focus on recruiting the best affiliates for your product launch.

This one is a bit tricky but doable with some creativity. You could offer a tier based salary. What that does is it effectively ties the Recruit Managers salary directly into work performance.

The more top selling affiliates the recruiter manages to get, the more profits that come rolling in for you. That will in turn beef up the recruiters salary also. It’s a win/win situation.

Remember that affiliates work hard doing what they do. They are seeking a reasonable return for their efforts. Many top selling affiliates are out there and with the right bait they can be reeled in.

Do you know what separates those who succeed from those who fail? Those who succeed are doers, action people. If you know that you can succeed on the internet, then you must take action now. OK, You have entered into JV’s with many marketers for your new smashing product. And you are expectantly gazing at the emails for those welcome order notifications to roll in! But to your disappointment, the JV sales are nowhere near your expectations. Sounds familiar?

Yes! It’s true that only 5% of your affiliates does some sales for you. But how can you make these 5% to give their best shot to your product?

Here is my experience as a JV partner where I went out of my way to zealously promote other’s product with a vigor and sizzle that left me surprised at the end of it!

Why did I promote someone else’s product when I myself don’t find the time to set up sales pages for the 100’s of resale rights products that I own?

I am a JV partner with many online marketers like John Delavera, Carlos Garcia, Anik Singal, Rob Benwell, Paul Kleinmenulman, James Jackson …and many others.

…And there are three things that made me work for all of them!

#1: The Willingness To Give A Review Copy

This is a deadly JV strategy! When you receive great products for free, something, somewhere inside you prompts you to give back something to the JV proponent.

And you end up committing yourself to the product and what you are expected to do as a JV partner.

#2: Quality Products That’s A Pleasure To Promote

To be frank, the products that I got were real sizzlers! I had no hesitation in promoting any of the products from my JV proponents for the simple reason they were all excellent.

And incidentally, the refunds on all these products were virtually nil — speaks volumes about the quality.

#3: High Commissions Offered

The minimum commission offered was 50% — some as high as 60%!

Enough to motivate you to work upon a product and release the creative juices hiding inside you to go all out! Does something struck in your brain about these three points? Hope it does.

In a nut shell: Before you dart out your JV proposals, remember these simple things and you have built a sales team that will go all out to sell your product.

Good luck to your future JV’s!

You’ve done your research and have determined that affiliate marketing is a system that works. You know you want to be your own boss and build a successful online business, and affiliate marketing strategies seem to be the best way to effectuate that goal. Now, you feel like you need to make a choice. Is your focus going to be on the production of products and recruitment of affiliates to sell those products, or will you do better on the marketing side as an affiliate?

Product production is a perfect option for those with a creative instinct for finding and fulfilling needs within the marketplace. It does require the presence of some specialized skills. You’ll need to be a researcher, a writer and/or a coder in order to make it work. If you have the right outlook and the appropriate skill set, it may be the right side of the fence for you.

Affiliate marketers tend to be just as creative, but their skills lie in marketing and promotion. Often, those with some sales background find that a great deal of what they have learned in the brick and mortar world transfers effectively to their online business. If you like to promote and have a good feel for what motivates people to actually buy once they’ve been introduced to a product, you might want to set up camp on the affiliate marketing side of the fence.

Either option can make for a successful online business. However, there is a third option that is embraced by many of the most recognized names in the industry. They do both.

Refusing categorization and avoiding pigeonholing, these people spend time selling others’ products on commission while simultaneously creating and selling their own products directly and through affiliate programs.

Production and marketing, you see, are not mutually exclusive. One can do both, and they can often do it quite successfully.

If you are new to the online business world and want to get involved with affiliate marketing, you will probably want to choose one side and begin there. In time, however, you may want to experiment with some of the activities on the other side of the divide. That’s one of the great things about affiliate marketing. There is room for exploration and experimentation.

There are those who have found a niche as product producers. There are others who earn a very healthy living exclusively through affiliate marketing sales. Some, however, do both and can manage the task successfully. It may require a bit of time before someone is completely read to try that balancing act, but it may very well be the route that offers the greatest potential for success because income sources become quite diversified.

Choose sides for now, but never look at those on the other side of the divide as "the other." In time you may be one of them, too.

If you are one of the many webmasters today who are trying to make money on the internet by any means possible, then you may have already considered joining the Google AdSense program. If you haven’t yet made the jump to being an online publisher, let me be the first to tell you that you are definitely missing out of the chance of capitalizing on something that can be very profitable for you!

Google AdSense is the most popular pay-per-click program currently online, they have offered pay per click, in one form or another, longer than any other search engine on the net. They’ve put a great deal of research and development into their keyword matching to ensure it is a profitable program. Not only have they been around the longest, but they also boast the biggest number of advertisers as well.

Google requires website owners to conform to a number of rules, including:

* All pages must have at least one link that leads to it, without concealing pages.

* All links must be active and work.

* There is a limit of 100 links per page. Creating a hierarchy should keep your navigation clean and well under the link limit.

* Tags, especially the ‘title’ and ‘alt’ tags should be explanatory and distinct.

* When designing your site, create one that is helpful to a user; don’t design a page for search engines. Make sure you clearly define what your site is about.

* Google forbids hidden text. Don’t colorize the text as the same color as your background, or even size the text so small it can’t be read. Google has been known to ban publishers who engage in these so called “black hat” techniques.

* Google strongly recommends that you include a site map page.

* They also strongly recommend you include a robots.txt file in your root directory. The robots.txt file tells website crawlers, like those that will match the ads with your website, which pages not to crawl. This is especially important if you want ads for some but not all of your content or if you have password protected pages.

Following the website design rules doesn’t make you bullet-proof, though. Even if you follow all of them, you may still be at risk of losing your AdSense account permanently or even temporarily.

* If you are indeed banned by Google to display AdSense advertisements on your page, you can file a re-inclusion request. Although not very successful many times, it still gives a publisher a chance to get back into the program. Here’s what you’ll need to include in your re-inclusion request:

o Your account name

o Your contact information

o A list of changes you’ve made to fix any violations

o A guarantee it won’t happen again

o Reports and evidence of click bombing, if you have any (more on this below)

You should NOT include any threats to pull your business. Visit http://www.google.com/support/bin/request.py to contact customer support. Keep your email straightforward. The subject of your email should be “Re-inclusion Request” to make sure it gets to the right desk.

Click Bombing

Click bombing is when someone clicks on one or more of the ads that appear on your webpage repeatedly. While this seems like a great way to increase your profits, it is against Google’s policy and they are always searching for click bombers. While you can’t prevent malicious click bomb attacks, you can take steps to defend yourself should you be accused of it.

* Consider investing in a third party tracking software program that is approved by Google. Look for one that tracks IP addresses.

* Run reports often, and keep them stored separately from your Google account. Should you be removed from the AdSense program, you won’t necessarily have access to run reports.

* If or when you are removed or fined by Google for AdSense abuse, make sure you send copies of your IP address reports along with your re-inclusion request.

As mentioned before, even if you follow all the rules of appeal and properly request a re-inclusion, you are not guaranteed a reversal. It seems most requests to be reinstated are not acted upon by Google. Google’s policy has been always one of “protecting the advertiser by any means necessary”. Unfortunately, this may mean kicking a legitimate publisher out of the program needlessly if they’ve been targeted by a malicious person.

Earnings Calculations

So how much money can be made in the AdSense program? Publishers can earn A LOT. From 10 cents a day, to over one hundred thousand dollars a day. Of course this is all dependant on how much traffic your website gets as well as how well you integrate the advertisements. But how does Google calculate per click how much that you, the publisher, gets paid? This is the fuzziest of all gray areas in the AdSense program. Google admittedly doesn’t disclose revenue share or whether the ads appearing on your site are cost-per-impression or cost-per-click. What they do tell you is how many page impressions (ads shown), number of clicks on the ads, page click through rate (CTR) and your earnings. Increase your impressions, number of clicks or CTR, and your earnings will follow.

Alternatives

If you’ve been removed from AdSense or are just looking for another option, there are a few to choose from:

* Yahoo! Publisher Network is very similar to AdSense. Experienced webmasters who have used both Google and Yahoo! programs believe Yahoo! is second best, but still a very good, profitable program. As it becomes more popular, more advertisers will jump on board with Yahoo thus creating a PPC race with Google.

* Chitika – A pay per click advertising stream. They don’t have as many or such a variety as AdSense or Yahoo!, but are usually less expensive to advertise on.

* AdBrite is very similar to Chitika, though slightly smaller.

There you have it in a nutshell, utilizing Google’s AdSense program to increase your own profits truly does make “cents”..and dollars. How much you can earn is dependant on how much targeted traffic you can get to your site as well as how well you can integrate the advertisements in the site design as well. Get on board today and start making money!

However, you’re only receiving 20 cents a day from Adsense.

But instead of placing the content into your email, place the content into your website. Coat these pages with Adsense too.

All you need to send your subscribers is a few sentences (or teaser lines as some may refer it to) and tell them to get the rest of the story or information that they must click thru on your link to read the rest.

A great way to write your teaser lines are in the same way that you would if you were sending in an article to ezinearticles.com . There is no better satisfaction then placing something on your website and earning money off of it, and with Google adsense you are doing just that. With little work to get it going and even less work once it is placed on your website, you will be making adsense revenue in no time. While it is a popular method to raise your income, it is important that you know what adsense is and how to get the most from it.

Google adsense is a way for you to make money by people advertising on your website. As mentioned, it is an extremely easy process that can potentially raise your income a great amount. All you have to do is put in a special code that Google gives you and the ads will be placed on your website automatically. There is no secret or trick to it, every time someone clicks on the ad that is placed on your website you are getting paid.

In order to maximize your potential with google adsense there are a few things that must be done. First off, formatting and placement of the ads is crucial to how many people click on the ad. You want to play around with where the best location is on your website and experiment with which place receives the most clicks. Make sure that the color is not too bright and blinding, but at the same time not dull where readers will skip over it.

The selection of keywords that you choose is important to how much you will make at the end of the day. The keywords that are bid on by adwords advertisers are extremely specific and vary depending on the keyword. Obviously you want to select keywords that are relevant to your website, but some keywords pay five cents where others run up to five or ten dollars at most. Determine what keywords will make you the best adsense revenue.

There are several factors that can be done to make the best of Google adsense, but the best way to determine what works for your website is testing. Continuously keep track of your results from the various marketing methods you approach to see what works best. Every time you change something with the adsense keep a note of how the variation favored compared to the old method. Even something as minor as changing the adsense background or the text color can make a difference. Given some time and variation you should find what works for your website the best to help you maximize your adsense revenue to the highest.

While adsense seems like a simple and basic concept, it is the minute changes that could make the difference of thousands of dollars you earn throughout the year. That is why it is important you take into consideration these simple tips that take very little time but could make a very big difference.
