As an affiliate, you are trying to sell someone else’s creation. That’s nothing new in the world of sales. None of the people at your local car dealership were working a rivet gun on the assembly line and none of the kids behind the counter at the movie theater helped Orville Redenbacher pick the best possible ears of corn. Selling something you didn’t make is normal operating procedure. You are a salesperson, not a product creator.

What if you were both? Consider how you might be able to improve your sales numbers if you had a deep understanding of a product. If you knew its every nook and cranny. How effective could you be if you had taken that product from idea to completion?

If you could combine your marketing talents with that kind of information, you would be unstoppable. You could anticipate and pre-emotively respond to likely customer objections. You could devise sales copy that would provide just enough detail and that would create an unmistakable aura of credibility. If you could truly “own” that product in the truest sense, you could sell it all day and night.

Reality prevents that from happening. Your talents are in sales, not product creation. Most product producers are not necessarily ace marketers. The two skill sets don’t match up much of the time.

That doesn’t mean you can’t capture some of the potential we discussed. You might have to settle for the next best thing, but that’s still a lot better than what most people are working with. You may not be working with your own product, but you can certainly try to treat the product as if it really were your own.

That means learning all you can about it. That means using the product before you sell it. You’ll have to work with the product yourself, study its strengths and weaknesses and get a strong understanding of every feature. Once you do that, you can really start to sell.

Instead of an empty glowing report on a new product offered to your list, you can write a newsletter piece that approaches it and its advantages from a position of authority. By understanding a product’s capabilities and limitations, you can better determine the most receptive possible target audience. You can write about the product in an authentic voice and create a sense of credibility that will invariably translate into sales. Learning products inside and out will also help you discover when you might be putting your good name behind a lousy offering. It can serve as insurance against future customer service problems and sullying your reputation.

Some marketers will pick a product based on the numbers and a little market research. They will find ways to drive traffic to the sales page and hope that enough sales stick to generate a decent commission. If you have enough traffic and the sales copy is good enough, that system can earn a living. However, if you can really back a product with a sense of integrity and a wealth of information, you’ll see the results in the form of increased conversions.

Product Review of Affiliate Project X : Affiliate Marketing at it’s best or worst - you decide!

The Hype Let me be perfectly clear. When I received an email to purchase Affiliate Project X, I deleted it from my inbox! I promised myself that I wasn’t going to buy one more worthless product that wasn’t going to put any money in my pocket.

The Hoopla Are you like me? Fed up with all of the internet marketing ads that flood into your inbox? Are you tired of the endless ‘opportunities’ that arrive on a daily basis to your email? I am so tired of every click flip, uncut, jerk this, butterfly that, tag, ping, money making scheme designed to make someone else rich.

The Scam I was fully prepared to live my life without Project X. Then two of my friends, who make their living on the internet, started calling to tell me how great Project X is. They raved on and on until I finally relented and bought Project X. In the back of my mind I’m thinking that I’ll just do this to prove them wrong, give it a try for 8 weeks and then get my money back.

The Truth I’m here to tell you – I admit it, I was WRONG! Project X is the first product in a long time that delivers on it’s promises! It’s not only great for seasoned marketers but also for newbies just starting out. Often internet marketing products are either designed for total ‘newbies’ and are paced way too slow for seasoned marketers. The same is true on the flip side. Products developed to challenge experienced marketers, are expected to move along at a fast clip and divulge lots of ‘never before seen’ tips and tricks. Project X does both seamlessly. And I never felt I was being talked ‘down to’ or that anything was ‘over my head’. It’s very rare to find a product that can do both.

The author, Chris, offers six ‘secret methods’ to launch yourself headfirst into affiliate marketing. Of the six, one is perfect for those just starting out or for anyone who doesn’t have ready cash to invest. This method requires no domain purchase, no hosting fees, no websites! Too good to be true? The author claims that if you’re willing to work, you can easily be making $40 - $200 a day 30 days from now! I believe him and I’m no push over. Even as an experienced marketer, I found several jewels of information in Chris’ book that I have ever read anywhere before. Never even thought of before! Light bulbs were going off in my head as I was reading all his new ideas.

I had never heard of Chris before (so there was no name recognition here!) but after reading Project X from cover to cover, I have to tell you that I really like him. Why? Because he doesn’t waste my time filling his pages with fluff. Project X is only 50 pages long. 50 pages of fast paced, blueprint methods. Best of all, it’s not all about Adsense. For anyone looking to get into multiple streams of income, this is the book for you. All for $97. I can’t tell you the number of worthless products that I’ve bought for twice that price – and more!

You don’t have to buy Affiliate Project X, but others are and that’s who you’ll be competing against in the days to come… Do you really want to lose this advantage? I encourage you to do yourself a favor and get Chris’ book before he gets smart and raises the price.

The way it works is that a company has products that they need to sell. These companies offer others a certain percentage of each sale that they refer. The person creating the referral does not pay anything to join and does not have to deal with packaging and shipping the item. When it comes down to it both the retailer and the affiliate benefit from these free programs.

So now that you know what a free affiliate program is, you need to know how to implement it in order to start making money. The first thing you need to do is to find the best affiliate program you can find that is selling what you want to promote. This can be done by going to almost any website on your topic and looking for a link that says affiliates or partners. While not every company has an affiliate program, most do. If you do not find one on your first couple tries do not worry, just keep looking until you find one.

There are a few websites that house hundreds of free affiliate programs in which you can apply for and manage through their site. These sites are especially useful if you want to promote several different programs. These affiliate hubs are not required and you can be very successful without them.

How do free affiliate programs work? You just find the program in which you want to promote, sign up and once you are approved you will receive a special link. This link is a very unique URL that tracks when someone purchases a product through it. Once a sale is made the company sends money your way.

The amount of money you will receive per sale depends on the free affiliate program that you signed up for. Most companies offer on average about five to ten percent commission on every sale. Some companies will give you so much money for every referral you send to them whether they buy a product or not. Just take a look into each company’s guidelines before signing up and find the one that best suites your needs.

If you own a website you can just post the link or banner on your website and let your viewers find it. If you do not own a website you can promote your link by telling friends and family or by pay per click advertising. Google adwords is a very popular pay per click program in which you pay them a set price for every click someone makes on your ad. If no one clicks you do not pay. If you can write a good ad you will find that you can make a lot of profit doing this. If you write a bad ad that no one is interested in then you may waste money.

There are many other ways to promote free affiliate programs. You may be able to think of better ways that I have stated above. It does not matter how you do it as long as you get people to buy from your link.

Chris McNeeney, who wrote the hugely successful Adwords Miracle has provoked a storm of interest with his latest offering, so I thought I’d better have a look and see what all the fuss was about.

Having downloaded and printed the ebook, the first thing I did was read it through and then go through it again with highlighter. I’d downloaded it around 8pm and by the time I’d finished it was Midnight, but boy was I excited. It may be small in size but it’s huge in content and packed full of excellent tips and techniques for generating a decent income.

First off it’s not just another manual about affiliate marketing, there are more than enough of those out there already. Although you may already know some of the techniques such as squeeze pages and building a list, this ebook describes in great detail how to go about it.

There are 50 pages of decent content with each method written down step by step - all you have to do is follow them, it’s also written in normal font, instead of some manuals that say they’re 50 pages long only to find that they’ve been written in size 14 font and double spacing - so no scrimping on content.

The main part of the ebook describes six different techniques that can be implemented immediately. Each one is described step by step, all you have to do is pick a method, put your blinkers on and follow the instructions. Some of the techniques are easy enough for even the newest newbie but in truth, none of them require much technical knowledge, and all can be done reasonably quickly. You should see a fairly fast result if you follow the steps carefully. Here is a quick precis of the different techniques.

Part 1 - Introduction

In part 1 Chris outlines the reasons why he put Project X together, the basics of affiliate marketing and the affiliate networks and a brief precis of PPC marketing.

Part 2 - The Methods

The Leech

Sounds revolting and black hat, but no it’s not (on both counts!) A very simple technique that can be set up very quickly. Using not only examples from Clickbank and Adwords, he actually shows you how he set up one his own campaigns using this method - which earnt him $5000 in August of this year - although why anyone in their right mind would do such a thing, particularly when the product in question is still such a big seller, is beyond me. Chris shows you how to find the best product to promote and using his example write your own campaign.

The Affiliate Diary

Using the list method. You know the saying "the money’s in the list". Well I’ve got news for you - they’re right! I know that when I started out the last thing I wanted to do was build a list, it seemed a very daunting prospect. Don’t let it put you off, it’s nowhere near as hard as you might think and all the steps are once again described in detail.

The Workhorse

This is what Chris calls the ‘foolproof method’. But don’t make the assumption that it can be done in 1 hour flat. This method will bring you between $40 - $200 per day but it’s pretty repetitive work to do, so if you have a low boredom threshold you might want to think twice about earning your money using this method. Having said that, it’s easy to do, requires absolutely no capital whatsoever and there’s plenty of resources to help you achieve your goal. Once you’ve done the repetitive work then you can sit back (for a while) and watch the money come in.

Thief in the Night

Or as Chris puts it ‘how to steal from the super-affiliates’!- Yes, this also sounds ‘black hat’ but rest assured, it’s not. This is another - no capital required - method and so ridiculously simple you’ll wonder why you’d never thought of it.

Copy the Best - Part 2

If you’ve read his Adwords Miracle guide, then you’ll recognise that this is a spin off of the same techniques as outlined in that ebook. This does involve some capital input (although not much considering the returns are around $100 per day withing the space of 30 days) and a degree of spying on the competition (I’ll say no more).

The Opportunist

This is all to do with timing and spotting a product on the up. Chris shows how to find the most likely products for you to make money as an affiliate and what to do with it once you find it.

Part 3 - Advanced Tricks and Underrated Promotion Methods

A collection of more advance affiliate marketing methods such as ‘cloaking’ (ssshhh) and affiliate tracking, to name but two, to help you grow your online marketing business.

The great advantage of having this manual is that it shows a variety of methods for making money on the internet and if you just dip in anywhere there’s bound to be at least one method that you could try straight away and see results. Personally, I tried the first method as soon as I read the manual (in spite of being told to read it twice before doing anything) and I made a return on investment straight away.

So in conclusion, far from being a rip off and in spite of being very sceptical at first, I would say wholeheartedly a resounding - yes, it is a bargain. I was totally bowled over by the content in this concise little book and strongly suggest that if you want to succeed in the world of affiliate marketing that you get Affiliate Project X. (There’s even an 8 week money back guarantee in the unlikely event that you don’t make any money)

Selling is one of the best ways to earn money. Actual selling can be difficult especially if you need to go to different places, carrying your products, and offering it face to face with your customer. Some are even a bit ashamed to do the actual physical selling themselves, because they don’t want to be turned down.

Selling nowadays is not only done through physical product selling, but also through affiliate programs. Have you heard of that term before? If you’re new on the net, it simply means selling a product or service through commission basis. But this involves online selling, unlike the physical selling that most people dread.

If you have your very own website, it is much easier to start an affiliate program. It is an opportunity that you must not ignore because it can give you a considerable sum of money if you just know what it’s all about and how it is carried out.

Here are important things that you should know before you join an affiliate program:

1. The different types of affiliate programs; including the pay per sale, pay per click, pay per lead, bounty, and two tier.

Once a customer buys a particular item, you will be paid a commission by ‘pay per sale’.

The ‘pay per click’ type pays you every time a customer visits the site, and it doesn’t matter if the customer made a purchase or not, however, you’ll earn more if the customers purchase something. With a PPC type, companies pay at the range of .05 dollars to .15 dollars.

You are paid a one-time fee only for each customer that visits the site; the payment is usually between two dollars to five dollars. If a customer signs up for application, the higher yield you’ll get.

If you are able to refer a customer, you will get a finder’s fee. If in the future the customer makes any purchases, you will no longer receive any commission, and this is called a bounty.

If you are able to make direct sales, you get a commission; and if your sub-affiliates generate sales, you will also get a commission out of their sales, this is called two tiered.

2. The benefits

The benefits of an affiliate program includes: all you have to do is to bring prospects to visit your site and you will not deal with people such as wholesalers, brokers, customer service, employees, technical support, process orders, warranties, and many more. You don’t need to stay on your computer to keep track of the site, you’re free to go for a vacation, rest, etc.; and most especially, you can do it anywhere as long as there is an internet connection.

After weighing all these things, it’s time to decide if you’ll join an affiliate program or not. Once you decide to join, the company will give you a URL or a link. This links are used to gain access to the company’s website.

This will allow the company to monitor your website, and the payment or commission that should be given to you.

Affiliate programs make money, so why not join the force. The internet is just there, waiting for interested people who are willing to venture into different business opportunities. If you’re capable, and can become an effective affiliate, act now and join.

Do you look for a small business idea, which allow you to make money without the hassle of selling products, packing and shipping? Take a look at affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing can be a very good opportunity for you. Instead of sales pages you load your web site with information. In that change, you make your site more attractive for the search engines, your site will draw more traffic.

here are some basics of how to get going as an affiliate marketer

It all start with your web site. People search the Net for information. There are different ways to provide information. It can be Articles, product reviews, videos or chat rooms. You have to choose a theme for your site, and stick to that theme.

Your main task as an affiliate marketer is to get visitors to your web site. You don’t have to worry about the sales pitch. Concentrate at get high traffic to your site.

Once people start to find your web site, and your interesting content. It’s time to choose a good affiliate program.

How to choose the right affiliate program?

First, of course it has to be in the same theme as your web site content. If your site is about computers, your visitors are more likely to click at a link regarding computers, than a link regarding how to breed birds.

Second, you have to be sure that your merchant deliver as promised. Whether it’s a product or a service, you must promote high quality stuff. If you wouldn’t by from your merchant, so wont your visitors.

Third, choose one program, learn how it works, concentrate on this until you’re satisfied with the outcome. Only then you choose the next one. You must master one program at the time, if you try to master 100 programs at one time, you’ll not master any of them.

They way to succeed a an affiliate marketer is to implement one program at the time. Keep it to a handful of affiliate marketing programs. Affiliate marketing is an ongoing learning process. To be able to keep up with this process, you must restrict yourself to a few top notch programs.

weave in your affiliate links in your content. One or two links per page is enough. If you have to many links your visitors will feel that you only want to sell something to them.

This is a cornerstone for your success, your job is to provide useful information. You don’t sell anything. After you have provided information, you make a recommendation, your visitor click at the link and your MERCHANT do the actual selling.

One way that aspiring netrepreneurs can learn if an idea for an online business has merit is to begin by ‘selling’ information on the web. For a minimum investment a site can be developed that simply provides information. Essentially you will be marketing information.

Test Development

1) Selected a product or service you are interested in selling.
2) Write informational articles about the product or service, if this is not possible use free-to-use articles to increase the knowledge base for your ‘customers’.
3) Accept Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising and place the code on each page.
4) Become an affiliate with an existing business that sells products related to your site.
5) Launch the site and promote through a press release and other available site promotion techniques.

What Does This Prove?

If done correctly the site you develop will have the same look and feel of an online business. The primary difference is your site visitors will be purchasing from an affiliate business. Because you have less of a vested interest in where the visitor actually makes their purchase the use of PPC ads through Google Adsense and other likeminded advertising options is a solid marketing option.

The site provides residual income to you through the sale of merchandise through your affiliate program as well as PPC. No matter where your visitor clicks there is a likelihood that you will receive some form of residual income.

How Does This Happen?

PPC advertising provides you with revenue EVERY time a visitor to your website clicks on any of the PPC links on your website. The visitor is taken to a new website, but because your site was the portal that brought them there you are paid. Depending on how specific your site is you might receive a few pennies or several dollars every time a guest clicks a PPC link.

Affiliate revenue comes when you agree to point visitors in the direction of a specific business. In some cases you might receive a flat fee for the purchase or you might receive a percentage of each sale.

Once the website is established you work hard to market the site, then simply make any enhancements you feel may be needed and wait for residual checks.

Many of these sites make back many times the original investment for their owners. This method is a low-cost way to work on skills associated with online marketing in a low risk environment.

A relatively new method of generating income in the age of the Internet is called affiliate marketing. It is an option for making money that a great many site owners have adopted, with a great deal of success.

The way these programs work is actually quite simple. They seek to reward webmasters for allowing an outside company to promote their products and other materials on their sites. Consider for a moment the example of Webmaster A, who owns a site that promotes a series of ebooks. Webmaster A gets a certain amount of traffic to his or her site, which generates a certain level of sales. Now consider how the level of sales activity would increase if Webmaster A had 100, 1,000, or even 10,000 sites offering that same ebook for sale. More sites equal more sales! It’s a very simple but effective concept.

The site owners who agree to allow another company to use their Web site to promote their products receive a commission from the sale of these items. It costs the host company nothing up front to have their products offered by other Web sites; no money will change hands until the new customer decides to purchase the product from the main Web site.

If your site generates a growing amount of traffic each month, it would be a very good idea to consider offering some related products to your customers as an affiliate of another site. The idea is a relatively simple one, but one that has proven to be quite effective over the last few years.

Both small and large businesses can benefit from affiliate marketing programs. Small businesses can promote their products to customers from around the world. With the number of new Web sites growing on a daily basis, there will always be new places for a company to promote their products. Large companies have the capability of promoting themselves on an even grander scale, generally in the thousands of Web sites.

Webmasters also like the idea of affiliate marketing because it can be quite a lucrative alternative source of income. The name of the game in Internet marketing is to create multiple income streams wherever possible and becoming an affiliate certainly fits the bill. One is not limited to one affiliate program on a Web site; site owners are free to choose several products they would like to promote and with the variety of products and materials that are marketed in this fashion, they will have no trouble finding an affiliate program or programs they would like to participate in.

With affiliate marketing programs paying anywhere up to a 35% commission on a single sale, there is no question that this is a most appealing opportunity for many people. In fact, the potential earnings for those involved in affiliate programs is virtually unlimited!

When your online business becomes established you may consider the development of an affiliate program for other businesses to capitalize on your success.

There are many online businesses that utilize affiliate programs to meet a specific need they have in their company. You will pay a residual for every purchase derived from your affiliate websites, but this cost is often much less than other advertising techniques aimed at delivering customers to your site.

By developing a revenue sharing affiliate program you essentially create mini-franchise agreements allow other sites to link themselves with the trust customers have found in your online business.

Many online business owners look at affiliate programs as a means of advertising. When it comes to marketing it is important to recognize there is a multitude of ways to spread the word that you are open for business.

Think of an affiliate program as paying a salesperson commissions to bring in paying clients. The affiliate doesn’t get paid until/unless they deliver a client who actually makes a purchase. This provides one of the most level type affiliate revenue development. Even large online shops are accepting revenue sharing affiliations.

If They’re Successful Why Do They Do That?

The reasons behind the use of affiliate networking have a lot to do with finding additional sources of revenue in an environment that is non-competing.

To give you an example – if you had a hair care product website you might accept an affiliation with a nail care product site, a clothing retailer and perhaps a cosmetic retailer so that when your customers came to your site they recognized it as a one-stop shop for their beauty needs.

By accepting an affiliate agreement you are not saying you are struggling financially as much as you are looking for ways to improve services to your client base. The more comprehensive your offerings the more content your visitor will be.

The Internet provides the potential to fulfill many dreams of success. The key word in the last sentence if ‘potential’. You see, not every site that is developed will be successful, it will take a great deal of work, study, development and implementation of techniques aimed at promoting your website and all you have to offer.

The web provides one of the most cost effective ways to develop a business and there are so many tools available to assist you in that goal. Affiliate revenue sharing programs are just one technique to consider.
