As it all seems, there are tons of affiliate programs in the web. But how and where do you stand if you want to be a very successful affiliate. It’s never easy to first start off from basics but once you get your fundamentals right, there’s where you, yourself can become a very successful in affiliate programs.

I have constantly used these 3 crucial steps that gave me my break through in affiliate programs that has in turn made for me over $200,000 a month just on affiliate programs alone. Follow me and you will be walking my path to the successful route.

1. Find your niche - This is important, look at the needs of their audience and check which of its features cater most to their needs. Look through ebay, amazon etc.. and check what is the hottest trend or the top sellers and, Walla! There’s what the world is searching and buying so jump on that bandwagon while its hot.

2. Traffic - How are you going to sell your products without visitors? Its like opening a shop with no one walking in. No customers= no sales. But target at quality traffic, not mass traffic. You’ll be wasting alot of time and money targeting at traffics which you do not want. Best sources of traffic would come from forum marketing, articles, and Pay Per Click search engines.

3. Effective Copywriting - Without a convincing and effective copywriting, you’ll least likely to get your visitors to continue reading your whole sales page. Use emotions, testimonials, have prove for your claims, have a P.S. at the end of the sales copy, and a "killer opening"

I’ve always taken note of these 3 steps when I’m promoting my affiliate products. Don’t forget everything in business be it online or traditional business, its all about effective marketing. One may have the worst product in the world, but with a clever marketing and packaging, one may command a high value in the product.

Want to know one product which stands from the crowd and commands a billion dollar industry, when this product was never seen as a value. Contact me and I’ll tell you the answer.

Like they said, don’t reinvent the wheel.

Cheers to you and success to your online affiliate program

What’s in a landing page? First and foremost it is a very good marketing tool if done correctly. But what is the structure of a landing page and how do you use it in the advertising process?”

Purpose of Landing Page

The basic purpose of a landing page in online marketing is to motivate, to inform, to persuade and to sell the product or service to the visitor that landed on your well-designed page. That sounds pretty good.

To begin constructing your landing page, you need to consider page structure, your words, and your keywords in the total mix. If you do it right you will get sales, or convince someone to fill out a form or survey, etc. I’m sure you get my meaning.

Structure of a Landing Page

When a visitor clicks on your landing page, he/she should see the following structure.

Headline

The headline should do three important things:

· Grabs the attention of the visitor
· States the purpose of the page
· Compliments and coincide with your banner or ad

You have only one moment to grab the attention of the visitor, thus, the heading should entice the reader to continue on to the next paragraph or subheading. So choose your words, font style (Arial, Verdana are good choices), font size to your advantage.

And remember, if the headline does not compliment or coincide with your banner or ad, they, your target market, are gone.

Body Structure

The body should consist of the following:

1) Paragraphs — Paragraphs should be short with white space. Why? Most people will hit a site, but not read it word for word. Then what do they do? They scan the page. Which brings me to the next important part of a land page—sentences.

2) Sentences – First, sentences should be short, snappy, too the point, and without twenty dollar words. You have to assume scanners are in a hurry; they want the information as fast as you can give it to them without putting them to sleep, and without having to pull out a dictionary.

Second, the first sentence of every paragraph should contain the summary of the paragraph. “A Call To Action”(Buy Now! Try Now!) should appear throughout the body of your copy, as well as, at the top and bottom of your page.

Bold subheadings – Bold subheadings should identify the topic of the paragraph or paragraphs that rest under the subheading. This will allow the skimmer to read or skip the paragraph – in search of the information they are most interested in.

3) Bulleted Information – Bulleted information is a lifesaver. Bullets help to condense copy into short, thorough, easy to read, sentences without being boring. Utilize them.

According to Eyetrack III Research, a smaller typeface encourages more focused reading, while larger type encourages scanning. With that little tidbit of information, you may want to experiment with font size in the body of your copy.

As you can see from the structure of the body, we are looking for a tight-written page with well-defined bold subheadings and bulleted information – to ease the scanner/reader through the copy without having him/her click away.

Things To Consider

· Place the most important information above the fold.
· Avoid distracting material in the sidebars. If the information in the sidebars distracts the visitor – focus is lost and that could mean a lost sale.
· Add pictures or a form if relevant, but be careful about size.

Keywords and SEO

As with every other web page on your site, keywords are important. Your landing page content must be keyword rich, but not keyword stuffed, for the search engines and your targeted traffic to find you.

Once the content is completed, then you should make sure that you optimize your landing page for the search engines. Images should have an alt tag description. Try to describe your images with specific descriptions. Example: If you have a picture of a Schnauzer, put ‘alt=Schnauzer’, not ‘alt=”dog”’–Go for the specific description not the generic. Why? When you do a search, would you look for dog or Schnauzer? In most cases, I would bet on the Schnauzer.

PPC, SEO and Keywords

If you are writing your landing page for a Google Ad (PPC advertising), again, make sure that your landing page is relevant to your keywords and to the text of your ads. There are two reasons to heed this advice: 1) Your traffic will click away and go elsewhere to find the information they are seeking; 2) Google will penalize you.

You should also optimize your landing page for any searches people will conduct through the search engines. Yet, another avenue to quality traffic. However, if you should use several landing pages for the same product, with only slight wording variations, it would be wise to index only the general landing page and have your robots meta tag include a “NOFOLLOW” so they won’t be indexed – this will prevent the search engines from incurring duplicate copy penalties.

Google Adwords New Algorithm for Landing Pages

Google now assigns quality scores to landing pages, to determine the positioning, pricing, and other factors. A recent change in Google’s algorithm for landing pages affected many established websites. This change caused hardships for some, for others it closed their business.

Thus, if you do not want to be penalized with higher bid prices for your keywords, or a shift in page positioning of your ad you should follow keep the following information in the back of your mind when developing a landing page.

1) Relevant content
2) Links to page that provide relevant and accurate information related to ad
3) Your landing page should have at least 500 words (which isn’t much).
4) Remove all adsense ads on your landing page.

Testing Your Landing Page

Testing your landing page is important. You will need to tweak your copy on a continual basis until you feel comfortable with the copy and it is providing the results you want.

To conclude, landing pages can be your best friend or your worst enemy. Design it correctly, follow the rules, and it will be your successful friend for life.

Usually link exchanging are done to improve your link popularity – But if done correctly, you can actually find your self with literally thousands of visitors – with one thing in common. Figure out how to USE this traffic, don’t let it go to easily.

To exchange links – weather you do it manually or use a service for it – is mainly to gain more link popularity – thus gaining positions in the search engines. This is perhaps the most common way of improving your page rank, and it’s very effective. But, a side effect most webmasters don’t think of is the traffic they attract while doing so.

If you are using a link exchange service to exchange links, you can – and should – try to take advantage of all the webmasters coming to your site and/or link pages. Most webmasters won’t take the time to check out your offers, but if you can present them with an on-target banner or text-link – promoting a product directly related to webmastering, link exchanging or anything similar – you will find yourself with a new way of making affiliate commission.

The link exchange I used for this experiment - link 2 me – has the option of upgrading for roughly $29, making it possible to send out unlimited link exchange request. I’m not sure how many sites they have in their directory, but – trust me – it’s plenty. They also have an option at every request, enabling you to present a specific link page to the recipients of your link exchange request. This is where you will have the opportunity to add well chosen affiliate links. This page should actually BE a link page, and I encourage you to actually utilize the service and exchange some links. If you ask for a link exchange with every site listed, you should find yourself with thousands of webmasters looking at your link page to evaluate if they want to accept your exchange request.

If you want to take this one step further, it is possible to further target the visitors by making several link pages – each with a more narrow advertisement, and choosing what page to show for each link request. Because you know what their site is about, you can find and add affiliate links on a detailed level.

Choosing the correct affiliate programs for this is easy, but it can take some time to get it perfected though. The best way of evaluating it is by using different affiliate programs on different link pages. Look in your web statistics and compare the traffic on each link page with the amount of sales or clicks to the affiliate programs, then choose the ones with the best conversion rate.

There are many affiliate programs with products or services for webmasters. A webmaster engaged in link exchanging is bound to be interested in others ways of improving their page rank, or other ways of marketing their site. This include services such as; Link exchanges, article submissions, directory submissions, SEO services or simple, everyday products such as web design and hosting. If you are a bit imaginative, you can probably think of many, many other subjects which might be of interest.

Using this method on every new built site will give you both link popularity and possible affiliate commissions, this while still building your link popularity.

Are you looking for the most profitable affiliate programs? Tired of second guessing other recommendations? Tired of second guessing yourself? Hey, we online have ALL BEEN THERE.

As most of us online ALSO KNOW, your search for those profit machines will certainly involve a trip over to Clickbank. ClickBank is the Internet’s largest digital marketplace, where thousands of the web’s most popular products are sold every day.

Clickbank now has over 110,000 affiliates working through them, selling the products that Clickbank offers to thousands of others.

If you go to Clickbank and head over to the Marketplace you will see nine (9) categories of products. They are: Business To Business, Health & Fitness, Home & Family, Computing & Interest, Money & Employment, Marketing & Ads, Fun & Entertainment, Sports & Recreation, and Society & Culture.

Under each of those categories are hundreds of products. And all of those products have specific POPULARITY and GRAVITY weights to them. These are simple (yet ultra important) measures of determining the most profitable affiliate programs.

Here’s another one. If you want to see specifically how well one program is doing in terms of it being a rising star or a falling rock, go to cbtrends.com. Have with you the ID of the program you wish to do research on.

There you’ll be able to see which programs are in up popularity trends, which ones have peaked, and which ones should be avoided because they are falling.

It’s all great learning that you simply MUST KNOW if you really want to know which are the most profitable affiliate programs AT THE TIME. Because, don’t forget, the most popular program today, even this hour, might not be later today, or next hour. That’s life.

Hope this helps.

Affiliate Marketing: Why is it One of the Most Easiest Ways to Make Money Online?

Affiliate Marketing is one of the easiest ways to make money online because it pays an affiliate for finding customers. Simply put, it’s about paying commissions to people who support you making sales. It’s simple, but not as easy as it sounds.

For a beginner it’s a godsend because making money online without losing a fortune takes time to learn, and beginners really should learn from the experts, and all the experts have good affiliate programs. Most pay 50-75% through a third party company such as Clickbank or companies like them.

These companies handle all the sales, process the commissions and deal with returns when the occasion arises, so for the small charge they make for this service it takes the pain out of managing sales.

It is true affiliate marketing has its problems what system has not. It can be most frustrating if you are not clued up about updated methods and the intricate how-tos. However the negative points are easily dwarfed by the positive points.

Here are some of the positive points.

1. Low cost.

Sometimes people are terrified to start a home based business because of the investment necessary. In affiliate marketing, you don’t need to lay out much to get a return.

2. No website, sales letters, promotion material or support required.

There is an awful lot of work and expense setting up a website with sales letters, promotion material and providing customer support, affiliates get all this provided as part of the package.

3. Profit with leverage.

Affiliate marketing profit just appears from no effort of your own after supplying affiliates with your advert transcript and links. Albeit not every web marketer earns big bucks, it’s still a certainty that if you have a team of hard working affiliates then a substantial income can be achieved by both the product owner and their affiliates.

4. Ongoing Income.

Some of the better affiliate programs pay out on more than one product and also in some cases more than one level deep. That simply means that if the affiliate program owner achieves backend sales from the initial sale, they will pay out on these sales as well. This is a very powerful way to double or triple earnings and it’s worth the effort to seek these opportunities out.

5. Low risk

The best reason for an Internet marketer’s love for affiliate marketing is it has a low risk aspect. Noticeably for those working on a low budget, with no website and associated costs to worry about it really does carry a low risk financial aspect.

6. Shop never closes.

With affiliate marketing, your business operates every minute of the day at the same time targeting a global market! What could be a better situation to be in than that?

But all of these efforts will be put to waste if you don’t choose a suitable niche product which has the additional vital material to make it big in affiliate marketing. This is why in the beginning anyway, it is better to seek out the best in the business such as a Super Affiliate.

Super Affiliates are named as such because as the title suggests that is what they do best. They are the people who are likely to pay out higher commissions and also on more than one product. Do your homework and take the time to learn, "only fools rush in" the song goes, the same applies here.

In time you will learn how to achieve multiple streams of income, and then you will be ready to tackle other ways of making even more money online.

Without the right affiliate marketing tools, you will fail like the majority of affiliate out there (95%). After researching, testing, tracking, making mistakes, I know what are the essential tools for your affiliate business…

Essential Affiliate marketing tool #1: Your own affiliate website

Building your own affiliate website is crucial if you want to make a living from affiliate marketing. Playing the affiliate marketing game and waiting for thousands of dollars in commissions at the end of the month is a pure utopia without a website.

Unless you are one of Dan Kennedy’s mate and get him to send an email to his list with your affiliate links, you need your own affiliate website.

Imagine building a family without a house! Do you get the point now? Here is a little secret: earning a living online through affiliate marketing without a site (including blogs, forums, etc) is one of the biggest affiliate marketing myths.

Whenever you need to enter a market or dominate it, you want to have a place where buyers can find you: here come your affiliate website, securing your affiliate commissions.

You need to understand your visitors needs and worries in order to have an affiliate website user friendly. People are looking for information. Just give them what they want. Provide them with relevant informations and feed them with advices and guidance they can’t find anywhere else.

They will return to your site again and again, post your url on forums, tell their friends about you… When that happens, you will need another essential affiliate marketing tool. Without this tool, I can guarantee you that you will not succeed.

Essential Affiliate marketing tool #2: The Affiliate Autoresponder

When your affiliate website becomes popular and people in your market start sending you email asking you various questions on your topic, you will be soon overwhelmed if you don’t use this crucial affiliate marketing tool: the affiliate autoresponder.

With this tool, you give an edge to your affiliate business. The autoresponder will do all the hard work for you, and let you free to do what you love in life.

Place an opt-in form on every page of your site and let the autoresponder give people valuable information without you doing nothing. By opt-in, I mean a mailing list. The money is in the list. Remember this sentence because it is the second of your top affiliate marketing tools: a list of loyal subscribers.

With your autoresponder, you can develop loyalty with your subscribers until they become your subscribers, your exclusive buyers. If you know how to treat them, they will ask your opinion before buying a competitor product.

When you reach this level of trust with your subscribers, you are well on your way to fire your boss… and work exclusively from home.

Get these two affiliate marketing tools as soon as you start your affiliate business. Believe me, your affiliate website and your autoresponder are essential to building your online empire.

Try to market without these two affiliate marketing tools, and I’m afraid that you stay amongst the 95% who barely reach a monthly four figures income.

Five steps (or slightly more) to build and start making money from an Art affiliate website.

1. Select an Art Affiliate Program.

Some of the current/active ones are: Art.com, Allposter.com, 123posters.com

Things to compare:

a. Commission structure

b. Cookie retention time

c. Conversion rate

d. Discounts and promotions

e. Data feed 2. Choose a Domain Name and Hosting Company

Domain name

a. Domain suffix: There are many options - .net, .com, .biz, .info etc. The domain extension .com is the most common extension that most people prefer or type when they are searching for a website.

b. You can check availability for your selection at internic - internic.net/whois.html

c. Never use trademarked names: simple reason is to avoid future lawsuits.

d. A quick survey from friends and family can provide you the feedback on whether the domain name is easy to remember, spell and type.

e. Some common domain registering companies: yahoo, godaddy, networksolutions and register.com

f. Don’t make the primary domain too long and avoid using hyphens in your domain.

Hosting Company

a. Disk Space: When comparing web hosts disk space should not be a major deciding factor as most sites need less than 5MB of web space.

b. Bandwidth: For starters 5 GB of bandwidth is enough. Ensure that the hosting company offers upgrades to existing accounts when your site grows.

c. Technical Support and after sales service: Check if hosting company provides technical support function 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

d. E-mail: If you have your own site, you would probably want to have email addresses at your own domain, like info@mydomain.com, etc.

e. Control panel/ Web based tools: This tool provided by majority of hosts allows you to manage different aspects of your web account yourself. It has various tools like add, delete, and manage your email addresses, and change passwords for your account.

3. Build the Website

If you are technically savvy you may build the website on your own. You may hire an experienced web developer or hire a freelancer to build your website. This will provide you a quick to market website.

4. Perform Search Engines Optimization (SEO)

a. Build BackLinks

· Submit your site to free and paid directories.

· Register with major search engines such as Google, Yahoo, MSN and Ask.com.

b. Generate free and paid Traffic

· Buy Adword TextLinks to generate traffic.

· Buy traffic from established companies.

· MSN and Yahoo offer coupons using their targeted keyword services.

· Buy banner Ads

c. Refresh your content

· This provides users the incentive to re-visit your website. Do not get frustrated as it takes time for each search engine to index your pages. Typically it takes between 2-6 months for pages to be indexed.

5. Regular Monitoring

Monitor your error and access logs via the control panel, usage reports and sales reports via the affiliate programs toolkit to ensure you are targeting the correct products to your visitors. Refresh and update your website to entice user re-visits.

If you have any intention to start an on-line business, but do not have any products to sell, Affiliate Program is the best place to start. You might ask what is an Affiliate Program and how can I make money from this Affiliate Program?

An Affiliate Program is where the publisher gives you a certain commission which is based on the quantity of product you sell for them. You do not have to create your own website or own a payment gateway to sell the product. The publisher will give you all the necessary tools - like website, e-mail templates, payment gateways and etc. What you need to do is to drive traffic to the website’s sales pages.

All affiliate members will be given a specific link code. This link code is used to track the number of sales you have made. You can even log-in to the website to track your visitor statistics. Affiliate products can be divided into software and hardware. My advice is to go for software products, because it can be sent instantly. That is why Bill Gates started Microsoft, selling specifically softwares only.

Affiliate programs’ commission payment is normally in the range of 20% to 70%, but be very careful when you select an affiliate program. Make sure that the product you sell is a ‘Hot Product’, whereby there is a high demand for it. Use the principle of ‘supply and demand’, then you will not go wrong.

Do a lot of research, research and research before starting to sell any affiliate products. If not, it will be a waste of your time and effort when there is no demand for that product. Use Google’s search engine to check on the popularity of the product that you plan to sell. If there is a high PPC (Pay Per Click) bid for that product keyword, then you can ensure that is a HOT product.

You can start looking for products by joining these 2 most popular Affiliate Programs. One of them is ‘Click Bank’. You can choose up to 10,000 products. The second is ‘Commission Junction’; it has all the links & banner links you need for on-line marketing.

So what are you waiting for? Go to http://www.clickbank.com and http://www.cj.com and start selling your Hot products!

It seems that everyone wants to earn money online. Affiliate programs are an excellent way to help you attain your goal. The most important question is, how do you insure that you maximize the rate of return on your efforts. I have some suggestions.

There are numerous great and reputable affiliate programs available, that’s for sure. Some are certainly better than others. Before you choose, you should examine a few things.

  1. How do you plan to market them?
  2. How much money do you want to make?
  3. How much time are you willing to invest to generate returns?
  4. How long will the program pay you?
  5. How much will you make on each sale you generate?
  6. Does what you are promoting have good market appeal?
  7. Is the product you are going to promote, good overall value?

Let’s look at each in turn. How do you plan to market them? If you will market passively, solely through a website, you can post banners and links. This will allow you to participate in a variety of programs. However, if you plan to market through your opt-in list or if you don’t have a website and wish to use some type of email campaign, you will want to be more focused on fewer more lucrative programs. Examine your effort versus return. How much money do you want to make? If you want to make $1000 per month, as an example, which scenerio will make more sense? Promoting a program that will pay you $5 per sale, (you will need to generate 200 sales) or promoting a program that will pay you $50 per sale? (you will only need 20 sales to reach your goal).

How much time are you willing to invest to generate returns? Again, promoting the higher value sale is likely going to give you the greatest rate of return on the time you invest.

How long will the program pay you? Affiliate programs track your referrals by placing ‘cookies’ on the customer’s computer. As the customer clicks through your link or banner to the affiliate program provider’s website, a cookie is placed on the customer’s computer. Cookies can be set to expire at different time intervals. Some programs set their cookies to expire in just a couple of weeks. If the cookie expires, you won’t be credited with a sale should your referral wait to buy beyond the cookie expiry date. Look for affiliate programs where cookies don’t expire or they have long expiry dates.

How much money will you make on each sale you generate? For my money, this is the key to maximizing your rate of return. Look for the best absolute dollar value, not necessarily the biggest percentage commission. 30% of $200 dollars pays significantly more than 50% of $20, doesn’t it?

Does what you are promoting have good market appeal? It’s pointless to put your promotional effort into something that no one is interested in buying, regardless of the price or the commission that you are being offered.

Is the product you are going to promote, good value overall? This element will have an impact in two important areas. If there is not good perceived value, the rate of sales relative to the number of referrals you send will be low, meaning you will be working for nothing much of the time. Additionally, your reputation may be damaged if you aren’t recommending something of real value.

Affiliate programs are a great way to get paid. And getting paid is good, isn’t it?

If you have decided that joining a high paying Affiliate Program is a good idea please visit http://www.gettingpaidisgood.com/ which is a free resource center website for those looking to develop ways to get paid more and more often. Picking up extra income may be a lot easier than you think.

If you look at the top online retailers in any industry sector, you shall immediately realize how affiliate programs are working to increase conversion rates. Almost all companies that were selected as the top 50 e-retailers in the ‘The Internet Retailer Best of the Web Top 50 Retail Sites’ have affiliate programs.

Affiliate programs are also recognized by terms such as “associate programs” or “publisher programs”. This is how affiliate programs work: You build a website for your own business, products and services, or with the sole purpose of promoting different types of gadgets or merchandise. You sign up with the affiliate program of a website and strategically place their link or banner on your website. A visitor to your website finds that the description of a particular product coincides with exactly what he has been looking for. He goes on to click through to the product manufacturer’s website. Any visitor who purchases your affiliate partners product owing to your promotion, earns you a commission.

All websites want to have very high paying affiliate programs. It is a misconception that affiliates only promote computer software, like anti-spyware products, or gambling websites. Affiliate programs cater to all kind of businesses. You as an affiliate may earn as much as over $1 million per year or as less as $2 per week. Your earnings are directly proportional to the hard work, effectiveness of strategy and technique, and the number products you promote. If you start out the right way, the sky is the limit!

Following are factors to consider in order to be part of the highest paying Internet Marketing Affiliate Programs:

• Advertising space on your website is very valuable to you. Thus, selecting companies and retailers that not only pay you more for your services, but who offer a product that complements your website and is directly or indirectly related to your line of work.

• If your website has been constructed with the very purpose of promoting other people’s stuff, it is important to stick to one industry, for instance, do not showcase computer software or hardware with something as incongruous as products in health, weight loss, skin care and adult supplements. If the advertisement stands out like a sore thumb, your visitor may recognize it as an overt marketing tool and move on.

• To effectively monetize space on your website, avoid catering to too many affiliates. A web page crowded with advertisements and banners will fritter away traffic.

• A great review, with excellent content and attractive graphics would tempt visitors to click on the available link to visit your affiliate’s website to learn more, and maybe purchase the product too!

• The placement of banners on your website must be above the fold, which is the area the user can see before scrolling down. Also, an advertisement placed at the top left corner would attract more attention than one that is placed towards the bottom. It should be worked into the design and almost appear to be an integral part of the website.

There are two ways of locating a company with high-paying affiliate programs. You may visit various websites running affiliate programs or simply search for quality affiliate programs through affiliate program directories.
